I was looking for a proper meat restaurant near Mangpo Station, and this time I visited Olheun Gogi Suwon Main Branch.

To cut to the chase, the meat quality was solid, but what I really liked was that it wasn't just meat on the table — you get beef tartare, cheese, and steamed egg custard all together.

Olheun Pork Set price and what comes with it

Of everything we tried, the thing that caught my eye the most was the signature menu, the 'Olheun Pork Set.'

It cost ₩118,000 at the time of my visit, and according to the menu description, it comes with top-grade Korean pork, hanwoo beef tartare, grillable cheese, and a generous serving of steamed egg custard.

From the moment the meat arrived, I liked how thick the cuts were.

From cuts like pork belly where you really taste the richness of the fat, to cuts with a good balance of lean meat and fat, there was enough variety that it was way more fun than sticking to just one cut.

Grilled golden on the plate, the outside got slightly crispy while the juices stayed locked in inside, so the texture was great too.

Something I personally really liked about the set at Olheun Gogi Suwon Main Branch was the grillable cheese.

Placing the cheese next to the meat, grilling it until golden, and eating it together with the meat added a salty, savory dimension.

Eating just meat the whole time can get a little heavy, but being able to mix things up with vegetables, side dishes, and cheese made the whole spread feel quite substantial.

And the staff also paid attention to grilling the meat for us, which was convenient since I didn't have to worry much about timing.

How is the hanwoo yukhoe served?

Besides the meat, hanwoo yukhoe (beef tartare) also came out, and it was visually quite generous.

There's pear laid underneath, with the hanwoo yukhoe and an egg yolk on top — burst the yolk and mix it in, and the richness really comes through.

It's a completely different texture from the grilled meat, so eating it in between made for a great combination.

So instead of just feeling like you came for pork belly, it felt much more like a full spread, from pork all the way to beef tartare.

Steamed egg custard and the other sides

The steamed egg custard also came out much more generously than I expected.

The fluffy egg custard was just right for scooping a spoonful in between bites of meat.

With meat, beef tartare, cheese, and egg custard all together, there was little need to order extra menu items separately even with a few people at the table — a real advantage.
