Why the devilish name drew us to 666 Burger in Maetan-dong

I went to 666 Burger. The way I first heard about this place — a friend of mine was passing by and saw it. And apparently the name really shocked them. 666 is supposed to mean the devil, right? My friend is Christian, so they said it was strange to use a name like that. I was curious too about why they'd deliberately pick this name — maybe it means the taste is so good even the devil fell for it? So I decided to go try it and see if that's actually true.

Inside 666 Burger Main Branch: solo bar seats and a wide-open hall

Interior

When you walk in, there are bar-style seats on the left for solo diners, and across from them is the kitchen and the ordering kiosk.

On the right there's seating — the hall is spacious with wide gaps between tables.

The white plus red interior isn't tacky at all, it's actually quite sleek, and there's a big window so you can see outside comfortably while eating and enjoying the view.

It doesn't feel cramped, and the interior is surprisingly moody and nice for a burger joint haha

At the self-bar you can grab forks, knives, wet wipes, water, sriracha sauce, and more.

Our order came out!!

Melty cheese dripping down between the nicely toasted buns and a thick beef patty — just looking at it made me happy. The Mushroom has cheddar cheese, grilled onions, and salty bacon on top of the thick beef patty, plus mushroom sauce added in. It has a slightly rich, deep flavor to it haha

Cheese in the Trap has American cheese, grilled onions, and salty bacon piled on the thick beef patty, plus a bunch of other cheeses packed in haha. And the bun here was really thick and delicious.

After eating about half, I tore off the paper wrap and kept going.

The classic handmade burger balance of juicy thick patty and fresh garnish was so good. The clean, stylish American diner vibe of the interior was pretty too.
