Evening vanilla latte and plum tea at Uijeongbu café Forerest

I went to Forerest today, a large café in Uijeongbu!!!!!! This place has such a pretty vibe and is famous as a Basque cheesecake specialty spot! And it's open until midnight, which makes it perfect for a night visit!!! It was a day I finally had genuinely delicious dessert after a while.

Is Forerest in Uijeongbu worth visiting at night?

I visited Forerest around evening, and the lighting made the atmosphere even prettier! It feels like a standalone house right in the middle of a forest. Best of all, being a large café, the parking space was huge, which I loved :D If it's this pretty at night, it must be even better during the day. But there are so many lights that it's really pretty at night too.

Right from the entrance, there's a strong wood vibe. The interior atmosphere is so pretty :) There are photo zones scattered throughout too, so it's great for taking pictures. There's a woodsy? scent that fills the whole café, and I loved it.

Inside Forerest: a house with different seating in every room

Inside Forerest, the space is really, really spacious and clean. Even though it was a weekday, there were quite a few guests inside, which reminded me again how popular this large Uijeongbu café is. During the day the view outside is even prettier. It's already a well-known café in Uijeongbu.

Once you step inside, there's a big main hall and counter, and the layout keeps the standalone-house structure, split into several rooms. It was also charming that each room has a slightly different mood and interior!!! High ceilings and vintage furniture! Plus the fun of looking out at the forest through the floor-to-ceiling windows! Walking around near the café is nice too. The weather was so good that I took a full loop around.

Thanks to the lighting, the photos turned out even better. The cake and the wooden plate matched so well, and I think I chose well with the cakes.

How does Forerest's matcha Basque cheesecake taste?

Wow,, I immediately understood why it's famous as a Basque cheesecake dessert spot. The cake looked dense just by looking at it.

Wow, the texture really felt like cream cheese? It wasn't too sweet, so I'd say it's the kind of taste you keep reaching for. Best of all, the matcha flavor was intensely rich, so matcha lovers will really love this. Apparently it's made in-house and then chilled and aged for a whopping 16 hours!!! It's even gluten-free,,,!!! The cake flavors range from plain, chocolate, matcha, Earl Grey, to black sesame, so there's a lot of fun in choosing. Next time I want to try the original plain flavor too.

Oh and Forerest, this large Uijeongbu café, is definitely a coffee spot too!! I'm someone who really likes strong coffee, and the vanilla latte was moderately sweet while the coffee itself was quite strong, so it was so delicious!!! I'd call it the textbook example of a good vanilla latte??? The plum tea alongside was also reliably tasty!! Not too sweet, and the plum aroma came through strongly, which I loved. I'd recommend a visit to Forerest, this large Uijeongbu café, to all my neighbors!!!! :)
