Nokyang-dong sundaeguk restaurant lunch for three: Yetnal Gyeongseong

I went to the newly opened Yetnal Gyeongseong Sundaeguk Nokyang Branch!

I love sundaeguk (blood sausage soup), so gukbap (soup with rice) for lunch is always welcome haha. This time I went with friends and we ordered two basic sundaeguk and one spicy sundaeguk to share.

Bottom line first: the portions were generous and the broth was rich — we left this place stuffed and happy! 👍

Yetnal Gyeongseong Sundaeguk Nokyang Branch is open from 10am to 10pm, every day of the year ⭐️

The first thing I noticed walking in was, wow, this place is really clean haha. Since it's newly opened, everything felt spotless and pleasant overall. The interior is also quite spacious, so the tables aren't cramped together, which I liked.

Parking, the private group room and baby chairs

I also liked that Yetnal Gyeongseong Sundaeguk Nokyang Branch has a wide parking lot, which makes it easy to visit by car. Parking can be tricky at a lot of gukbap places, but here you don't have to worry about that at all. So if you're looking for an Uijeongbu gukbap spot with easy parking, this one could be a good fit.

Inside, there's also a private group room you can use separately. Sundaeguk restaurants usually feel like quick in-and-out places, but here the space is roomy enough — plus the room — that it also works well for family meals or gatherings with several people.

There are also baby chairs ready, so it looks convenient to visit with kids too. On the flip side, the menu is also simple enough for a quick solo meal, so it should suit anyone looking for a solo dining spot in Nokyang-dong.

There's also a restroom inside, and simple snacks and a coffee machine on your way out! 🤭 Owner, you're the best!! 👏

What the self-bar holds, right down to cucumber peppers

And one thing I really liked was the self-bar! When you're eating sundaeguk, you always end up refilling kimchi, onion, and peppers, right? haha

Here the self-bar was neatly organized so you could grab as much as you wanted whenever you needed it, which was convenient. Easy refills of basic side dishes at a gukbap place actually matter a lot...

Plus you can grind sesame seeds yourself and add as much as you like to your taste!

I liked that there were so many small nice touches like this haha.

Basic vs spicy sundaeguk: taste and portion size

The sundaeguk finally arrived! Even at a glance, the bowls were packed with generous fillings.

The broth was rich and hearty, loaded with plenty of meat and sundae (blood sausage), so as I ate I kept thinking, "the portions here are pretty big, huh?" haha.

It didn't feel like they were skimping on the fillings, so once I mixed in rice too, I was genuinely stuffed.

The basic sundaeguk had a mild, easy-to-enjoy flavor that works for anyone, and if you're craving something spicier, the spicy sundaeguk is a good choice too.

Perfect as an Uijeongbu sundaeguk lunch option when you want a hearty, filling meal midday!

Overall, I liked how clean and spacious it felt for a new restaurant, and with ample parking, a group room, baby chairs, and a tidy self-bar, it seemed like a comfortable place to visit in many different situations.

Most importantly, for a sundaeguk restaurant, taste and portion size matter above all — and with rich broth plus generous meat and sundae, this one delivered!
