Dangjin bakery café with group seating: Mimi Coffee Bangatgan
In short
Mimi Coffee Bangatgan is a bakery café in Sunseong-myeon, Dangjin, with a large private parking lot and group seating. I stopped by with my mother during our trip for coffee and bread; the warmed olive ciabatta was soft and moist. It was busy on Saturday afternoon, and rain kept us from using the outdoor terrace.

While traveling in Dangjin with my mother, I stopped by Mimi Coffee Bangatgan (미미커피방앗간) in Sunseong-myeon. We were hungry in the afternoon, so we ordered coffee and bread together, and the spacious seating and wood-toned interior made it an easy place to rest.

Where is Mimi Coffee Bangatgan, and is parking convenient?
The address is 1064 Nambu-ro, Sunseong-myeon, Dangjin, Chungnam, South Korea. The hours listed in the original post are daily from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., with last orders at 8 p.m.

The private parking lot was spacious, so parking was easy. I thought having parking space would be useful when several people meet by car.

The entrance was wide, and the distinctive way the door opened caught my eye from the moment I went in.

Are there good seats for groups or families?
When I visited around 3 p.m. on Saturday, the café was full of guests. The interior had a wood-toned, antique feel, with paintings, framed pieces, and objects that suited the space.

There was well-arranged group seating, as well as tables for three and four. The chairs were cushioned, and the large windows kept the room from feeling closed in, making it comfortable for a weekend-afternoon break.

Can you use the outdoor terrace?
Through the door outside, there is an outdoor terrace with green grass and a forest-like atmosphere. I thought it would be nice for tea on a cool day, but it was raining when I visited, so I could not use it.

There were also several awards displayed around the café. They gave a sense of the café's pride in its coffee.

What kinds of bread and desserts are available?
There was a wide selection of bakery items, cakes, and desserts. They warmed the bread we ordered, and leftover bread could be packed to go.

There were also locally themed items, such as Dangjin sundubu (soft tofu) ice cream and Dangjin Hofung sweet potato ice cream.

You could order at a kiosk. The drinks included the signature Mimi Cream Latte.

How were the coffee and bread I tried?
We were hungry after an early brunch, so we picked several kinds of bread. I chose a hot Americano, while my mother chose a freshly squeezed lemon drink.

The breads we ordered were olive ciabatta, Chodang corn mochi soboro, cinnamon bread, and a ham-and-cheese sandwich.

The lemon drink was not overly sweet and had a strong lemon aroma. The Americano had a pleasant nutty flavor and was nice to drink warm on a rainy day.
The olive ciabatta especially stayed with me. It was warmed for us, so it was soft and moist, with plenty of olives inside. I also liked dipping it in the olive balsamic served alongside it.

Are there amenities that help with a family visit?
Blankets for guests and children's toys were available as well. After resting over bread and coffee with my mother, we headed to our next destination, Sapgyoho.
