Jokbal restaurant on Yeonsinnae Rodeo Street, Bojok Set: Gwihanjokbal
In short
Gwihanjokbal Yeonsinnae (귀한족발 연신내점) is a jokbal (braised pig's trotters) and bossam (boiled pork wraps) restaurant on Rodeo Street near Exit 7 of Yeonsinnae Station in Eunpyeong, Seoul. The blogger booked a weekday 6 pm table for two with a cousin and ordered the small Bojok Set (jokbal and bossam) for 46,000 won, with makguksu (chilled buckwheat noodles) for 8,000 won and flying fish roe rice balls for 3,000 won. Verdict: the Gwihanjokbal jokbal had springy skin and the bossam was tender with no gamey smell, making one small platter just right for two.

Today's post is about a trip with my younger cousin to Yeonsinnae Rodeo Street, near Yeonsinnae Station in Eunpyeong, for jokbal (braised pig's trotters) and bossam (boiled pork wraps) :) I had only ever tried Gwihanjokbal Yeonsinnae as delivery, so this was my first time eating in! The delivery was good, so eating in must be even better, right~?

Gwihanjokbal at 6 pm on a weekday: the atmosphere
The inside of Gwihanjokbal Yeonsinnae has a cozy wood-tone interior, and the tables are spaced widely, so we could eat comfortably.
We booked for 6 pm on a weekday, and it wasn't crowded, so it was easy to chat. The shop was also kept neat and clean, which made me even happier.
The country-of-origin notice was posted too.

Gwihanjokbal menu: jokbal, bossam and sets
The menu was really varied: basic jokbal and bossam, then direct-fire spicy jokbal, charcoal-grilled jokbal, garlic jokbal, naengchae jokbal (jokbal with cold salad), kodari (half-dried pollack) jokbal and more.

The set menus are well put together, so you can choose to suit your taste, and there are even sides like makguksu, steamed egg and spicy hangover soup 👏🏻👏🏻

When it comes to jokbal, the best place in Korea!

Small Bojok Set for two: ₩46,000
The two of us ordered the small Bojok Set (jokbal and bossam combo). The small set is ₩46,000.

The basic side dishes were neatly prepared too. Wrap vegetables, garlic, cucumber and carrot, white kimchi, seasoned dried radish strips and regular kimchi all came out, which went nicely with the jokbal and bossam. The sides were clean-tasting and savory, so they were delicious.

The spicy bean sprout soup that came with it had a cool yet kick-y broth that was excellent!! An unexpected treat😋 It was packed with crunchy bean sprouts that cut the richness, and it cleansed my palate between bites of jokbal and bossam, so I kept going back to it.

The basic sauces were salted shrimp, spicy sauce and ssamjang (seasoned soybean paste).
How do Gwihanjokbal's jokbal and bossam taste?
The small Bojok Set comes with jokbal and bossam generously heaped on one plate, a perfect amount for two. Glossy jokbal and bossam, springy trotters and moist bossam that make your mouth water just looking at them. Honestly, you have to order the combo set. Both are so good that ordering only one feels like a loss.

Bossam first. It's soft and moist, and every piece makes my mouth happy.

I wrapped the chewy jokbal in fresh lettuce and took a bite, and the flavor was mild yet clean and excellent.

Best sides to order: makguksu and flying fish roe rice balls
A hungry foodie like me can't skip the sides. We ordered makguksu (spicy buckwheat noodles) and flying fish roe rice balls.

Makguksu (chilled buckwheat noodles): ₩8,000
This makguksu is topped with plenty of bright red sauce.

The chewy noodles blend well with the sweet and spicy sauce and really wake up your appetite. Mix it up properly! Makguksu with jokbal and bossam isn't optional, it's a must.

Putting makguksu on top of the jokbal and chomping down~

Flying fish roe rice balls: ₩3,000
They mix the flying fish roe rice balls up for you so they're easy to eat.

Dinner feels incomplete without carbs, so I ordered these haha. They seem like a nice, easy side~!

Kimchi and side dishes: the full jokbal spread
I wrapped kimchi and white kimchi in bossam, and the kimchi here is great too😋 Kimchi matters a lot at a bossam place, so Gwihanjokbal gets a passing medal 🏅 for its Yeonsinnae jokbal and bossam.

Eating bossam and jokbal with all sorts of side dishes means you never get tired of it. The classic: soft bossam with ssamjang and garlic ( ˘ ³˘)♥ And a bite of jokbal with the spicy sauce to cut the richness.

The jokbal has springy, chewy skin and moist, tender meat, a taste anyone of any age would like. The full spread is complete, a table that fills you up just by looking at it.
The glossy jokbal pairs chewy skin with moist meat, and the bossam is soft and mild with no gamey smell, great to enjoy together. If you're looking for jokbal and bossam on Yeonsinnae Rodeo Street near Yeonsinnae Station in Eunpyeong, give Gwihanjokbal Yeonsinnae a visit.
