Where is Ryeowon Skin Care?

Ryeowon Skin Care (려원 피부관리) is a skin care salon on the 3rd floor (Room 304) of Midobuilding, right in front of Exit 3 of Nowon Station. It's well known in Nowon for contouring and for bridal care for brides-to-be, so I decided to visit :)

Ryeowon Skin Care is closed every Sunday. It's open Mon–Fri 10:00–21:00 (break 12:30–13:30) and Saturday 10:00–17:00. Closing time varies with reservations, so it's best to call and check before you go.

It's right in front of Nowon Station Exit 3, so access is great 👍🏻👍🏻

What are the interior and consultation like?

Inside, there's a separate consultation area and waiting seats, and the whole place is neatly decorated.

One side of the shop displays a variety of plaster face casts.

They're plaster casts of customers who actually had treatments, and seeing them lined up gave off a strong "contouring specialist" vibe, haha. The products used in the shop are also displayed so you can see them at a glance.

They're available for purchase too, so take note if you need any ☺ Before starting, I filled out a consultation sheet that checked my current skin condition and concerns in detail!

They don't just run through a treatment; they explained a program based on each person's skin condition and goals, which gave me confidence. They also thoughtfully brought a tasty tea ❣️

What treatments can you get at Ryeowon Skin Care?

Ryeowon Skin Care offers a range of programs: facial contouring, skin care, body care, head spa, Troipeel and dress line care. If you book contouring and dress line care together, one groom contouring session is reportedly included for free.

Besides the facial contouring I got this time, there are skin care, body care, head spa and more, so you can choose according to your own concerns. I liked that, haha.

Lots of people worry about skin texture and breakouts these days, and Ryeowon also offers Troipeel treatments 💚 Not just facial contouring, but dress line care too!

They don't only treat the face; they also care for the neck, shoulders and collarbone line, so it's reportedly popular with people with an important event or a wedding coming up! Booking contouring and dress line care together gets you one free groom contouring session, so don't miss out~!! And this is where you get the head spa.

Next time I'll have to come for the head spa, haha.

Are the treatment rooms private 1:1?

The treatment rooms at Ryeowon Skin Care are set up for private 1:1 care. The room felt cozy and clean.

Everything was kept clean, and being treated privately 1:1 made it even easier to relax.

What is the order of the contouring session?

Focused jawline care

The contouring at Ryeowon Skin Care started with the jawline. My jaw muscles get tight a lot, so I was especially looking forward to this part.

The line under my jaw that always bugs me felt noticeably lighter.

Upper body care: chest, neck and back of the neck

I thought contouring meant only the face, but they carefully worked on the chest, neck and back of the neck too, which I loved.

The upper body tension was gently released, which felt comfortable, and my overall line felt more defined 😌 Considering the balance of the whole face, they carefully treated the forehead too~! It was a gentle, lifting-style technique, which I liked.

Cooling scalp care and shoulder work

Cooling scalp care🩵 It felt like it calmed the heat built up in my scalp, and with the scalp massage added I felt so refreshed. They also took one more careful pass over the cheek and forehead lines.

They worked on my knotted shoulder muscles too. With just the right pressure they loosened them one by one, and my stiff shoulders felt much better, haha. And it got rid of my jaw flab, my big concern!

Finishing with hydration, modeling pack and V-line band

After the contouring, they did thorough hydration care too. With all that moisture, my skin looked clearer and glowier ヾ(๑╹◡╹)ﾉ"

They hydrated my skin so it soaked in nicely (chap chap!), then we had time for a modeling pack to fully calm the skin. The cooling sensation let me rest comfortably during the treatment, and it felt like moisture filling my skin ✅

They also put on a V-line band to tidy up my face line once more. These are the products they used.

Afterward they gave me a cup of warm water too.

What is the powder room like after treatment?

Ryeowon Skin Care has a powder room where you can get ready at your leisure after treatment, and the hair dryer is a Dyson.

The necessary supplies were neatly laid out, handy for fixing your hair or touching up your makeup. And the hair dryer is a Dyson, no less!
