Why I picked Singsing Salad Yeouido Branch for lunch alone

I was looking for a good solo-dining lunch spot in Yeouido and found a place that's easy, filling, and healthy all at once! That's Singsing Salad Yeouido Branch. Yeouido has so many office workers that there are tons of places to grab a quick lunch, and on this day I wanted something made with fresh ingredients rather than anything too heavy or spicy, so I decided to visit. Singsing Salad Yeouido Branch is close to Yeouido Station, so it looked like an easy spot for office workers to reach during lunch hour.

Inside Singsing Salad: a separate row of solo-dining seats
Stepping inside Singsing Salad Yeouido Branch, the vibe overall was clean and pleasant. What I especially liked was the variety of seating! Along with tables for 2 and tables for 4, there were also separate solo-dining seats for people eating alone, so eating solo didn't feel awkward at all. It seemed like a good spot for a quiet solo meal, or even for casually eating with a friend or a date.

Looking at the wall, they were also running a lunch menu discount, so visiting during lunch hour seemed like it would be an even more budget-friendly way to eat.
Singsing Salad menu: poke, salad rice bowls and pasta salads

Ordering was done through the kiosk set up in front of the entrance. Each menu item had a photo displayed alongside it, so even as a first-time visitor, picking a menu wasn't difficult at all.
The menu turned out to have way more variety than I expected. From avocado salmon poke and garlic shrimp poke to chicken breast salad rice bowl, smoked duck salad rice bowl, miso pork belly salad rice bowl, spicy pork belly salad rice bowl, chicken leg salad rice bowl, beef sirloin salad rice bowl, spicy duck salad rice bowl, and stir-fried chili salad rice bowl, there were plenty of options to choose from depending on your taste. On top of that, there were pasta salads, salads, and soups for lighter eating, so it seemed like a great option for office workers who agonize over what to eat for lunch every day.

What I chose that day: avocado salmon poke and a chicken breast wrap!

How does the avocado salmon poke taste?
🥑 Avocado Salmon Poke First, I tried the avocado salmon poke. The bowl had a base of multigrain rice, generously topped with avocado, raw salmon, seaweed flakes, and a fried egg, served with miso soy sauce and wasabi sauce on the side. Just looking at the colorful mix of ingredients was enough to get my appetite going before I even took a bite.
Poke is especially fun because you get to mix a bunch of ingredients together, and layering raw salmon and avocado over the multigrain rice with the sauces worked really well. The multigrain rice had a nutty, clean taste with a slight chewy texture — a different charm from plain white rice. Adding the soft, creamy avocado made the rice's plainness feel even smoother.

The raw salmon had no fishy taste and left an impression with its clean, moist texture. I loved the nutty, mild flavor of salmon melting softly in the mouth, and eating it with avocado doubled the softness. The seaweed flakes added a subtle saltiness and nutty aroma on top of that. The umami particular to seaweed paired well with the salmon and blended naturally with the multigrain rice, making the overall flavor even richer.
Overall, it was a flavor where the nutty, clean multigrain rice met the soft avocado, moist raw salmon, nutty egg, and salty seaweed flakes, with the two sauces adding savory depth and a bit of a kick. Each ingredient had a different texture, which made eating it fun, and even though it felt light like a salad, it also had multigrain rice, salmon, and egg, so it ended up being a surprisingly filling meal.

Is the chicken breast wrap a good solo-lunch pick?
🌯 Chicken Breast Wrap I also tried the chicken breast wrap I ordered alongside the poke, and it looked especially good as a solo-lunch item since it's easy to eat one-handed. The wrap had chicken breast and fresh vegetables together inside, so with the first bite I could feel the crunchy vegetables and the clean-tasting chicken breast at the same time.
Chicken breast can easily end up dry and bland, but with the sauce and vegetables mixed in, it was surprisingly moist and soft to eat. The clean, plain flavor particular to chicken breast combined with the crisp, refreshing texture of the vegetables for an overall light, fresh feel.

The tortilla wrapped the ingredients softly, and the more I chewed, the more its nutty flavor came through, blending nicely with the vegetables' crunch and the chicken breast's plainness. It wasn't heavy or greasy at all, so it was easy to eat without any guilt at lunchtime, and I liked how each bite let me chew through several ingredients together.
If the avocado salmon poke is a menu you enjoy for its rich flavor, mixing several ingredients together with a spoon, the chicken breast wrap is a menu you enjoy for its clean, refreshing taste, eaten easily by hand. Eating both together was even more satisfying since each had its own distinct charm.
