Songgane near Changwon Station: what kind of place is it?
Songgane Wang Jokbal Bossam Changwon Station Branch (송가네왕족발보쌈 창원역점) is a jokbal and bossam restaurant in Palyong-dong, near Changwon Station. It was one of those days when I just wanted something tasty, so I looked for a jokbal place with my boyfriend, found a good one near Changwon Station, and dashed over.
The jokbal was as good as expected, but the bossam, which I'd ordered without thinking and didn't expect much from, was so delicious that I fell for it!

Is there parking at Songgane Changwon Station Branch?
Yes, there are parking spots in front of the restaurant. I went without knowing if there'd be any, and luckily got a spot right out front. I think I only got one because I rushed over straight after work. People kept coming in after I arrived, so I'd guess the competition for spots is fierce at peak hours.

Atmosphere and seating
You can walk into Songgane with your shoes on ☺️ Places that have been around a long time often seem to be like this. A place that has switched to shoes-on tells you how many years it has been going, so the food rarely lets you down.

I visited early on a weekday evening and apart from one table it was still nice and empty. The seating is tidy and looked good for groups too. It filled up quickly while we were eating, so I guess it's a famous spot that only I didn't know about.

Songgane menu and origin of ingredients: what we ordered
We ordered the medium jokbo set (jokbal and bossam together). The origin sign next to the menu showed everything is domestic (Korean), which made me trust the food even more.

They have the basic drinks, and Zero Pay works for payment. There's also dental floss and hard candy, handy after a meal. I finished with a candy to freshen my mouth >_<

I noticed at the counter that Songgane has been going for 30 years. Holding one spot for decades is really not easy, T_T. Now I'm looking forward to the taste.

Side dishes and table setting for the medium jokbo set
After we ordered the jokbo set, they brought the side dishes. They're all great with jokbal and bossam. I was so hungry, and being a salad-lover, I went for the salad first,

while my boyfriend, who was starting to feel like a drink, ordered a bottle of Jinro (soju) ^^ We really have different styles, haha.

After a short wait, the main dishes arrived >_< Seeing the great-looking jokbal and bossam made my stomach growl even more urgently.

The makguksu (cold buckwheat noodles) is out too :) All the good stuff is gathered in one place, so I couldn't resist a video!!

How do the jokbal and bossam at Songgane taste?
Bossam lettuce wraps with dried radish
The bossam at Songgane comes out thin and well cooked. Put some dried radish (mumalaengi) on a lettuce wrap and you can't help but exclaim 😋
Surprisingly thin-sliced jokbal
The jokbal at Songgane is sliced really thin. This video is me marveling at how thin it is, haha. How did they slice the jokbal this thin?! I found it so fascinating. It was so thin that I dropped it from my chopsticks at the end, hahaha.
Being thin made the texture even more tender, and I was really happy with the jokbal at Songgane.

Makguksu in a perilla leaf wrap
The makguksu from the jokbo set is great in one bite with the jokbal, and also wrapped in a perilla leaf with kimchi on top. I told my boyfriend that you're a true food connoisseur only if you eat makguksu in a wrap, and he doubted me, hahaha. But he took a bite of the wrap I made and looked satisfied, so I feel proud as a connoisseur :)

Bossam that stays warm to the end
There's a flame under the bossam plate at Songgane. I only noticed it after eating for a while, but it keeps the bossam gently warm, so the meat never cooled down and stayed delicious until we finished.

Hehe, if it's good, you've got to clean your plate, right? ☺️ Songgane, the Palyong-dong, Changwon jokbal restaurant, left both of us satisfied.
