When I want a proper filling meal or need to restore some energy, eel is one of the first things that comes to mind. It works for a family dinner and it's a nice thing to eat with your parents too, so I find myself going back to it fairly often. This time I visited Daedo Jangeo (대도장어) in Palyong-dong, Changwon. They grill eel over briquette charcoal, so I looked closely at everything from the atmosphere to the menu to the facilities. Here's my visit review of this Changwon grilled eel restaurant! ٩(⌯˃ ▾ ˂⌯)و

Side dishes and the self-serve bar at Daedo Jangeo

Once you sit down, the table is set with wrap vegetables and several side dishes, and there's also a side dish self-serve bar inside. With grilled eel, the sides you eat alongside matter almost as much as the main. With wrap vegetables and a variety of side dishes, you can enjoy the eel just the way you like it.

Tasting the eel one piece at a time is great, but you can't skip eating it with rice or in a vegetable wrap.

Put the eel on top of rice and add some side dishes, and you get a lot of different flavors in a single bite. Eating grilled eel with rice makes for an even more filling meal.

Does the Daedo Jangeo restroom have toothbrushes, mouthwash and cotton swabs?

Yes, around the sink in the Daedo Jangeo restroom there are supplies like toothbrushes, mouthwash, floss and cotton swabs. Facilities like the restroom are something I notice at a restaurant almost as much as the taste of the food, and the restroom here was tidy too.
