Suwon Korean buffet: window-view hall, odorless cheonggukjang, Boriook
Boriook Main Branch (보리옥 본점) is a Korean restaurant near Mangpo Station in Yeongtong-gu, Suwon, serving a self-serve barley rice buffet alongside set meals. At a partitioned table in the big-windowed, wood-toned hall, the writer ordered the mackerel set (half a fish) and the char-grilled gochujang pork set. The writer mixed barley rice with namul (seasoned vegetables) from the self-serve bar and especially loved Boriook's odorless cheonggukjang (fermented soybean stew) and acorn jelly. Boriook Main Branch is a neat, filling Korean buffet that suits family meals with parents or a hearty everyday lunch.
