What is Dadam Shabu Shabu Wirye Branch?

Dadam Shabu Shabu & Wolnamssam (다담샤브샤브&월남쌈) Wirye Branch is a Namwirye Station favorite where you get shabu-shabu, Vietnamese-style wraps (wolnamssam), two kinds of unlimited meat and ice cream for around ₩20,000. It's my go-to neighborhood spot with the best value! The space is wide and comfortable, great for family gatherings, and the buffet quality is good too!

I come here regularly, but today I had a good opportunity, so I'm leaving a detailed mukbang-style review.

Can you get shabu-shabu and rice paper wraps to go?

Dadam Wirye Branch has just started takeout! Shabu-shabu ingredients are priced by weight, and 1 broth + 2 sauces is ₩3,000. Wraps can be taken out too.

Are there good tables for family gatherings?

Tables at Dadam Wirye Branch are spaced widely and each has a partition, so it stays fairly quiet even when full.

There are tables for 6 people too.

The area looking straight out at Changgokcheon (the stream) is for parties of 4 or more, up to 6, so it's perfect for family gatherings! The view is great, and with the tables separated you can eat even more quietly. (It's not a separate private room, though.)

Which meats are unlimited?

At Dadam Wirye Branch you can eat two kinds of meat without limit: beef chuck (umoksim) and beef belly (usamgyeop). The belly is fatty, while the chuck is nutty and lean.

What's on the salad bar?

The salad bar at Dadam Wirye Branch has lots to pick from. You can see the variety in the video :)

Refills of all three broths (seafood, spicy, clear) are included, plus bok choy, bean sprouts, baby napa cabbage, wood ear mushrooms, minari (water dropwort) and more~

There are 20-some kinds of fresh vegetables, plus fish cakes, dumplings and glass noodles. Seriously, so much variety. Even the fish cakes come in several kinds, like shrimp and squid. There are also sujebi (hand-torn dough soup), kalguksu (knife-cut noodles) and rice cakes, and kimchi, meat and Gohyang dumplings! Three kinds of dumplings alone.

The wrap zone has rice paper and finely shredded vegetables. And there's porridge and kalguksu to finish the meal! Even the eggs are neatly set out. Add seaweed, egg and sesame oil to taste and, oh... so good :)

How did the spicy and clear broths taste?

This day I picked two broths: spicy and clear. Dadam's spicy broth has a kick like Shin Ramyun (Shin instant noodles).

I put more vegetables into the spicy side and cooked the meat in the clear broth, which made it milder and nuttier.

I dipped tender beef chuck in the two sauces and ate it with bok choy :)

For Dadam's wraps, pack rice paper full of meat and vegetables for a fresh bite :) Adding the meat makes the flavor more varied and deeper.

Is Dadam Shabu Shabu Wirye good value?

Dadam Wirye Branch is really, truly cheap. These days a single pasta dish starts at ₩20,000-something, but here weekday lunch is ₩17,900 with a further 5% off, which is even more touching, hahaha! Two unlimited meats plus wraps mean plenty to pick from, a great-value shabu-shabu buffet.

I've come with coworkers often too, and this Namwirye Station favorite satisfies every time! Next week my mom is coming to help with the baby, so we'll come here for lunch!!
