So many pretty restaurants have opened in Beomeo-dong lately! I had a lunch plan there recently, went looking for a place, and ended up at Clap Pizza in front of Believe Heritage 🍕

Where to park for Clap Pizza in Beomeo-dong

For parking, you use the Doyu Suseong parking lot.

Spend ₩30,000 or more and you get 1 hour of free parking; after that it is ₩700 per 10 minutes. Parking matters a lot in Beomeo-dong, so I hope this helps if you are visiting!

Clap Pizza's red-brick exterior and trendy interior

Clap Pizza sits in a red-brick building in the Believe Heritage shops, so it stands out even from far away. I had actually wanted to visit ever since I first walked past and saw the outside, and I finally made it! The red brick is so pretty! It feels like a pizza place on a New York side street? You don't see this vibe often in Beomeo-dong, so I took photos before I even went in, haha

Inside, the mood was just as good as the outside. Very hip, very MZ (millennial and Gen Z) style these days!

The interior is not over the top but still stylish, so I thought it would be great for meeting friends and just right for a date too.

Looking around, there were quite a few couples, too. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a date-lunch spot in Daegu!

Honestly, there were so many things I wanted to eat that I couldn't decide, so I was really glad there was a half-and-half, haha. You get two flavors in one go, so it seems like the best option for people who find choosing hard!

Clap Pizza runs together with Downtowner handmade burgers, so you have to go to the Clap Pizza counter to pick up your pizza!

How did the Clap Pizza half-and-half taste?

The first thing I thought when the half-and-half arrived was, "These toppings are seriously generous!" In person, the toppings were piled on far more than in the photos. Mmm…. 🤤

Pickles 🥒 and garlic dipping sauce 🫙 come with the pizza.

Garlic Shrimp pizza

The Garlic Shrimp I was looking forward to! It had plump, bouncy shrimp, and the texture was really good. You could tell they use good ingredients. 🦐 The garlic aroma was subtle, cut the richness, and went well with the cheese.

Thin, crisp crust

Best of all was Clap Pizza's thin, crisp crust! Personally I prefer thin crust to thick, so this style won me over. 🫶🏻 When the crust is too thick, you get full after a few slices, but here you can really taste the toppings. I enjoyed it all the way to the edge, and it wasn't heavy, so I kept reaching for more. No wonder it's famous as a pizza place, haha 🍕💗🍕💗

New York Steakhouse pizza

I tried the New York Steakhouse pizza first. The steak and cheese were piled on generously, and the meaty flavor hit me from the first bite. Ugh, so good 🤤

Salty, with great savory depth, so you keep reaching for another slice! The vegetables and cheese in between blended together, and it was far more harmonious than I expected. I strongly recommend it when you are craving a meat pizza. Meat lovers will surely be satisfied. 🥩🍕
