Melon sando and lime mojito at a Gangnam night café: Something About

Let me introduce Something About Coffee, a large, aesthetic dessert café between Sinnonhyeon Station and Gangnam Station that's also famous for its sando (fruit sandwiches)!

What Something About Coffee looks like inside and out

I visited late in the evening and it was still packed with people! The interior layout is really unusual. You walk in and there's the 1st floor, climb a few steps up and there's a kind of semi-2nd floor with the counter and desserts, and then you can go up to the 3rd floor too.

It's a spacious café with a wood-toned, aesthetic mood!🤎 There are terrace seats too, but it was way too hot so I decided to stay inside haha.

There's a huge variety of two-tops and four-tops, and the spaces are separated too, so it's great for having a conversation!

There are long tables too, so it works fine for group visits!

The upper floor was also really spacious and I liked the antique feel~ The lighting was a bit dim too, which made it even more atmospheric!

This photo was taken right before we left so you can't see the crowd, but the fact is we barely managed to get a seat🥲

Drinks menu at Something About Coffee

Coffee and cream-coffee drinks are the main menu, but there are also ades and teas! Things like hojicha choux milk tea or a mojito aren't drinks you usually see at a regular café, so that was interesting~

The showcase had sando and cake slices — and the sando looked so good you couldn't help but take a bite!!

The scones were basically all huge, and I felt like they were worth the price hahahahaha

There was only one lemon Earl Grey cookie left, so I grabbed it,,🍋💛

Kehe, it's time for a sweet dessert time~ I ate a full meal but there's always a separate stomach for dessert, you know~

The black sesame coffee had a strong nutty black sesame flavor in a creamy coffee! I actually liked that it wasn't too sweet — it perfectly matched my old-lady taste buds!!👵🏻💗 I'd recommend savoring the cream on top first rather than mixing it in from the start, then slowly drinking the coffee underneath!!!

The lemon Earl Grey cookie had the aroma of Earl Grey with a dense, chewy texture and a strong lemon flavor that I really loved! The lemon purée (?) part was soft while the cookie itself was dense, so the contrast worked really well!💯

It's been genuinely so long since I had a sando!!! And melon flavor too,,🍈🍈🍈 Places that sell sando are surprisingly rare — you really have to go out of your way to find one,,ㅠㅠ

At first glance I thought there wasn't much cream inside,, but boy was I wrong!

When I cut it open, it was packed full! I'm not sure if the cream is handmade, but it really felt fresh! The melon was also nice and sweet~ Not overly sweet or underripe, so it went really well with the cream!!🤤👍🏻
