Suwon pizza restaurant, 6:30pm window table for two: Low Five Sinpung

In short

Low Five Sinpung is a pizza and Western restaurant set in a converted house on Sinpung-ro in Haenggung-dong, Suwon. Two colleagues visited at 6:30pm on a weekday, took a window table and ordered a half-and-half pizza (corn & taco) for 27,000 won, avocado kimchi fried rice for 14,000 won, a classic Caesar salad for 12,000 won and orange juice for 6,000 won, 59,000 won in total. The popping sweetness of the corn half and the heat of the taco half were different enough that the half-and-half order was the best decision of the night.

Yesterday after work, I went for a walk in Haenggung-dong with my coworker Jiyeon. The one perk of my job: I can walk to Haenggung-dong straight from the office! For dinner, we decided to try Low Five Sinpung, famous for its corn pizza.

Since it's a converted house, there's no dedicated parking lot, so I'd recommend using the nearby paid public parking lots: Seongyeong Library, IPARK Museum of Art, or Jangan-dong public parking.

Inside Low Five Sinpung: the weekday evening window table

Low Five Sinpung's dining hall with generously spaced tables

Low Five, a great spot for a Haenggung-dong dinner date, is a converted house that keeps its distinct coziness and character. The interior is fairly spacious with generous table spacing, so you can chat without feeling crowded by other tables. The wood-toned furniture and warm lighting create a cozy, almost European brunch café atmosphere.

We visited around 6:30pm on a weekday, and luckily a window table was open, so we got to enjoy the evening with that relaxed Haenggung-dong feel.

How the corn and taco half-and-half pizza, avocado kimchi fried rice and Caesar salad tasted

To keep our blood sugar in check before the main dishes, we ordered the Caesar salad. Fresh romaine and lettuce topped generously with snow-like shaved cheese, plus lemon wedges for a bit of brightness — a proper, classic Caesar salad. It's a refreshing side to pair with pizza or pasta, so I'd recommend ordering it alongside your meal.

Kimchi fried rice topped with egg and avocado

Next was the avocado kimchi fried rice we'd been so curious about, ₩14,000. With avocado sitting on top of the egg, it felt a lot more upscale than a regular kimchi fried rice.

A spoonful of avocado kimchi fried rice
Cross-section of kimchi fried rice with bacon

It's a slightly spicy fried rice packed with kimchi and bacon, topped with a sweet egg and creamy avocado that mellowed out the heat — really tasty.

Half-and-half pizza with corn and taco toppings

Half-and-half pizza (corn & taco), ₩27,000. Last time the corn pizza was so good, so this time I went for a half-and-half with taco.

Corn pizza with a whole corn cross-section on top
Corn pizza

Low Five's corn pizza, great for a Haenggung-dong date, had a whole cross-section of corn on each slice, which looked gorgeous, and every bite had that satisfying pop of corn kernels.

The natural sweetness of the corn, the nuttiness of the cheese, and Low Five's own smooth signature sauce all come together into an addictive dish that's hard for anyone to dislike — if you visit Low Five, definitely try this.

Taco pizza with meat topping and jalapeños
Taco pizza

Next, the taco pizza. It was like a Mexican taco transplanted onto pizza dough — the meat topping deeply seasoned with taco spice, and the heat of the jalapeños cut right through the richness.

A slice of taco pizza with shrimp

There were plump shrimp in there too, making this taco pizza an absolute favorite. If you like spicy and salty flavors, this one's a win.

A glass of pulpy orange juice

The orange juice came packed with pulp. There was so much of it that one glass was perfect to share. Sweet and tangy and really tasty — I'd recommend trying it too.
