Today I visited Baedagol Bakery House (배다골베이커리하우스), a café in Goyang near Ilsan that an acquaintance told me I absolutely had to try after going themselves, haha. They said I'd be happy with it, so I was curious, and after going in person I get why they recommended it!
What are the exterior and garden of Baedagol Bakery House like?
The building's exterior is done in an ivory tone, which felt warm and clean~

The outdoor space was carefully tended with flowers and trees, and the 1st-floor garden even had tables set out.

It was a pretty hot day, but more people than I expected were spending time outdoors, haha. I guess that shows how appealing the garden is~ If you're looking for a relaxed café near Ilsan, I think the space alone could win you over :)

1st floor: the bakery zone and a forest-like interior

On the 1st floor, the bakery zone, the counter and the tables come into view as soon as you step inside.

As a proper bakery café, the range of breads was really wide, and I liked that all of them were kept inside glass display cases, which shows care for hygiene!

The whole 1st floor felt like being in the middle of a forest~ Surrounded by nature, it felt like a little break, so I could stay comfortably^^
What's on the menu at Baedagol Bakery House?

The drink menu covered a wide range: coffee, tea, lattes, handmade teas, smoothies and even bingsu (shaved ice dessert).

It was summer, so there were several mango items too. If you like seasonal fruit, a mango drink or bingsu might be a good pick~

They were also running various discount events, so I'd recommend checking when you visit!

What we ordered and the prices

- Iced Americano ₩6,000 × 3
- Fresh mango cake slice ₩10,000
- Scallion cream cheese bagel ₩8,000

How is the iced Americano?
The iced Americano had a bit of acidity along with a nutty, toasty flavor. The serving was generous too, so it was nice to sip slowly while looking out the window~!

Scallion cream cheese bagel and fresh mango cake slice
The scallion cream cheese bagel we ordered with it was good too! There was a moderate amount of cream cheese inside so it wasn't heavy, and a mild scallion aroma on top of the plain, simple flavor made it easy to enjoy, haha.
And the most memorable item of the day was the fresh mango cake slice'-'! I was surprised by how much fresh mango was packed inside. The soft sponge and fresh mango went together nicely, the texture was great, and I could taste sweetness and tanginess at once.

2nd floor: room-style space and outdoor terrace

If the 1st floor felt like being in a forest, the 2nd floor felt like being close to the open sky~

Besides regular indoor seats, there's also a room-style space, which makes it easy to use, and I liked that there are different kinds of seating^.^

The 2nd-floor outdoor terrace also had its own tables! In cooler seasons it looked like a lovely place to take your time looking at the natural scenery, haha.

Is Baedagol Bakery House worth going back to?
This Ilsan-area café let me enjoy a space close to nature, a wide variety of baked goods and a satisfying dessert all in one place. The 1st and 2nd floors are similar but have different atmospheres, so exploring was fun, and I was impressed that you can stay comfortably both indoors and outdoors. It's a café I'd like to return to whenever I want a relaxed time with a cup of coffee.
