Euljiro 3-ga bone grill, torch fire show and kiosk wait: Eulji Baektan

In short

Eulji Baektan Ppyeogui (을지백탄뼈구이) is a bone grill restaurant right in front of Euljiro 3-ga Station in Jung-gu, Seoul, cooking over 1300-degree white charcoal. After registering on the Catch Table kiosk at the entrance, two diners sat at an inner first-floor table, watched the staff torch the meat for smoky flavor, and ate a small bone grill with rice balls at spice level 1, which was about as spicy as tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes) and so tender it melted. Spread across the first and second floors, Eulji Baektan Ppyeogui is a solid pick for group dinners and get-togethers in Euljiro.

Smoky bone grill cooked over 1300-degree white charcoal🔥

If you sit at the back of the 1st floor at Eulji Baektan Ppyeogui, you can even watch the fire show!🔥 They first sear the meat over 1300-degree white charcoal, then finish with a blast of the torch to add a fiery smoky flavor, and it's a lot of fun to watch!

Spice level 1 bone grill with side dishes

Two of us ordered the small bone grill and rice balls. I can't eat spicy food, so I chose level 1, and it was about as spicy as sweet-and-spicy tteokbokki (rice cakes), which was just right! Because it's charcoal-grilled, the meat was sooo tender. It melts so softly you wouldn't even need teeth‼️

Dipping a rice ball into the sweet-and-spicy sauce went so well together. Rice ball + meat + aged kimchi combo? Need I say more, the best👍 We scraped up even the grilled scallions, haha. The portion was big, so the two of us ate until we were full.

When you can't decide on a Euljiro restaurant, go to Eulji Baektan Ppyeogui. You can adjust the amount to your group size and the spice level, and 📍there's a lunch special too. It's a big space, so it suits Euljiro group dinners as well. I'm planning to visit next time I have a Euljiro meetup. How about a sweet-and-spicy, fire-flavored bone grill tonight~?
