My interest sparked by YouTube tarot

Have you ever gone to get a tarot reading!? I did onceeee with a friend ages ago, but I had not gone again after that. Lately, though, tarot-reading accounts kept popping up in my YouTube recommendations, so I started watching them haha. Just as I was getting interested, I got the chance to review tarot cards, so I thought I would write about them in detail!

Unboxing and package contents

When I first unboxed Soul Weight Tarot Cards! The tarot-card package itself came wrapped once, which I liked because it meant it could arrive without worrying about scratches. It is fine as long as the cards inside are okay, but still... it is oddly upsetting when something arrives scratched.

Besides this package, they say you can also buy the Soul Tarot Kit, which includes cards, a spread cloth, and a textbook!

Is it okay for a first-time user?

A tarot card guidebook is included too! So even people like me, who have never actually used tarot cards, can use it without worry. I liked that it has detailed explanations for every card 😊👍🏻

The package design also feels luxurious, with gold-foil-colored printing against a blue-black base! The box is fairly thick too, so it is easy to store the cards in after use.

On the back is the signature of tarot master Jeong Hoedo, who has more than 480,000 YouTube subscribers! Haha. If you watch Jeong Hoedo's YouTube channel, videos are uploaded consistently and very diligently. That made me think that tarot cards made by a tarot master like this would be worth recommending..!

Tarot illustrations reinterpreted for today

The illustrations look quite modern and a little different from the images I already knew, right!? They say this design recreates the Universal Waite cards, designed 100 years ago, in a 21st-century style with a modern design, and I really liked how clean it looks.

It also arrived secured like this, which really made me feel that they take product packaging seriously.

Card stock and the 78-card set

And if you do design work, I think you would recognize the feel of these tarot cards as soon as you touched them haha.

Rather than thin tarot cards with that predictable shine, they seemed to use premium stock that is firm yet soft—and sure enough, they say they are made with premium German paper!

There are 22 Major Arcana cards on the left and 56 Minor Arcana cards on the right, for 78 cards in total. Major Arcana cards represent major, important events, while Minor Arcana cards support the Major Arcana and deal with a wider range of detailed aspects.

The included tarot card guidebook explained the meanings of the cards in detail! The illustrations are pretty too, so it was fun taking my time looking through them one by one :)
