Why I took a Sijeunikeu cake home from Shinsegae Centum City

After a trip to Shinsegae Department Store in Centum, Busan, I picked up a cake for dessert at Sijeunikeu Shinsegae Department Store Centum City Branch. Sijeunikeu is a dairy whipped cream cake place I've loved since I lived in Daegu, so I was super excited for this visit!

Shinsegae Centum City has seriously amazing food, so since I was already there, I grabbed a tasty dessert to go too. Fresh fruit plus soft dairy whipped cream, my mouth waters just thinking about it ^O^ I really recommend it if you're hunting for a good café near Senteomsiti Station in Busan!

Sijeunikeu Shinsegae Department Store Centum City Branch is on B1 of Shinsegae Centum City, 35 Senteomnam-daero, Haeundae-gu, Busan, right in front of Starbucks. It's a 5-minute walk from Exit 12 of Senteomsiti Station, and it's open daily 10:30-20:00.

What kind of cake shop is Sijeunikeu?

Sijeunikeu Shinsegae Department Store Centum City Branch specializes in cakes piled high with fresh fruit. There's no seating in the shop, but it's perfect for takeout.

It's especially known for its Farm Wareureu series ("wareureu" is the sound of tumbling, overflowing fruit) made with seasonal fruit, and the look of fruit practically spilling over is already a win. They say they use fresh fruit on a same-day production and sale basis, which makes me look forward to it even more! It's a great Haeundae, Busan café to stop by when you're craving something sweet.

When I went, the Centum City branch also had a fig cake and a peach cake. They all looked so good that choosing took me forever, haha. Next time I want to try the other fruit cakes too!

Sijeunikeu Mango Top cake for ₩39,000: how did it taste?

What I took home this time was the Mango Top cake, for ₩39,000. Mangoes tumbling everywhere, sweetness galore! The cake was piled with mango, and just looking at it put me in a good mood.

Sijeunikeu uses dairy whipped cream, which I love, so the cream is soft and rich, and eating it with fresh mango really brings out the sweetness haha. The fruit and cream pair so well that every single bite was satisfying.

A family dessert Mom enjoyed too

Best of all, Mom also devoured the Mango Top cake, so I'm going to bring one home as a family dessert every now and then. The mango is great and the cream is yummy, so I highly recommend it. If you need a cake for a special day or just want a sweet time at home, I'd recommend the Sijeunikeu Mango Top cake!!!

It's also a good choice among Haeundae, Busan cafés on days you crave fruit cake. Next time I'd like to go back to Sijeunikeu Shinsegae Department Store Centum City Branch and try a cake with other seasonal fruit.
