Where is Dixie's?

Dixie's is a slice of the American South near Gwandeokjeong in Jeju (24 Gwandeok-ro 8-gil, 1st floor, Jeju-si). Jeju Airport and Jeju Dongmun Market are both close by, so it's perfect if you want a salad or rice bowl in the area!

How do you park at Dixie's?

There's a public parking lot right in front of Dixie's! Free parking is available after 18:00 even on weekdays, which is great :) Parking is the hardest thing about downtown Jeju City, so having a big public lot right next door is a huge plus~

Dixie's exterior and interior vibe

This is the outside of Dixie's! The exterior alone gives off strong Southern American vibes, and it looked really cool.

Here's the food! Doesn't it look amazing? We ordered the single-serving chicken plate, which comes with fried chicken, fries, corn, rice, and what looked like a kale pickle plus a sauce :)

The kale garnish on the chicken plate

Dixie's chicken plate has a plating style that's charmingly a bit rough around the edges, just like real American food — and above all, it was really, really delicious haha. That kale garnish was also something I was trying for the first time. When you're eating fried food, you need something like a pickle to cleanse your palate, right? Instead of a predictable pickle, Dixie's has this special kale side dish, which made it even more memorable.

How was the Dixie's salad bowl?

The Dixie's salad bowl was hearty yet light and easy to enjoy. They mentioned that the greens — whether iceberg or green leaf lettuce — can vary depending on what's available.

I really love salads like this, but I've often had trouble picking a place because the friends I go with don't love salad. Dixie's, though, has rice bowls, handmade burgers, and chicken dishes you can enjoy alongside the salad, so it's a meal that satisfies every taste!! Next time I want to try the rice bowl haha 🥗

Is the chicken at Dixie's a must-order?

If you go to Dixie's, I totally recommend the chicken!! The coating was crispy with a slight kick and a peppery aroma — it was up there among the best fried chicken I've had. It wasn't greasy at all, and the meat inside was perfectly juicy. 🍗

If you're eating the chicken plate with a group, you can eat your fill of really delicious chicken. The fries are hand-cut and freshly fried too, with that clean, savory, salty taste — best fries ever 😆

What does the Southern green sauce taste like?

The biggest reason I want to go back to Dixie's is this Southern green sauce, which you can only get here! It has a cilantro flavor I'd never tasted before, and it went so well with the chicken~ I even dipped my fries in this sauce instead of ketchup... I definitely want to order it again next time ㅠㅠㅠ It's a unique, delicious sauce that's hard to describe in words.

Self-service at Dixie's

Dixie's has disposable gloves and wet wipes set out for you.

Water cups and cutlery are self-service! I didn't get a photo, but it seems drinks like water and cola are also self-serve.

We left Dixie's really satisfied — if you want one truly delicious last meal before heading to Jeju Airport, I highly recommend it!
