Burger shop near Icheon City Hall: new BBQ chicken burger, Gladyburger

I go to Icheon once a month. Last weekend was no exception, and there's a lunch spot I always visit when I'm there. Burger lovers, this one's a must-read!

Where is Gladyburger in Icheon?

Gladyburger is on the first floor at 72-3 Buak-ro, Icheon-si, Gyeonggi-do, right between Icheon City Hall, the Icheon police station and the tax office. It's easy to get to, so it's known as a go-to lunch spot in Icheon haha.

Gladyburger is not a franchise! It's a one-of-a-kind shop, the only one in the country.

Is Gladyburger good for eating alone?

The shop is bigger than you'd expect, with both solo seats and tables, so it works for going alone or in a group. I usually go on dates, but I see families, friends and solo diners too.

Since it's next to government offices, it seems to get a bit crowded at lunchtime.

There's a self bar on one side of the shop, so you can grab whatever you're missing yourself. It has pickles, jalapeños, utensils and more.

What's on the Gladyburger menu, and which burgers are recommended?

The menu is split into sets, combos and single burgers. That's the most important part!

My favorite burgers at Gladyburger are the wasabi shrimp burger and the truffle mushroom burger.

But when I visited recently, there were new chicken burgers on the menu! I was curious about the taste, so I tried them with my boyfriend.

After ordering, I looked around the shop. This is my favorite corner at Gladyburger: it's full of burger decorations. Where did they find such cute props? I want them so badly.

How many items should two people order at Gladyburger?

This time we ordered the truffle mushroom burger, the BBQ chicken smoke burger and garlic butter potatoes.

My ordering tip for Gladyburger is: don't order too much! The portions are so big that if you get greedy, you'll definitely have leftovers. For two people, I recommend one single and one set!

There are two of us, but we always order one combo and one single. That's just enough to be full and happy. The first time, I didn't know any better and ordered two sets, and I left in tears. Waaah

How do the truffle mushroom burger and BBQ smoke chicken burger taste?

The truffle mushroom burger is on the left and the BBQ smoke chicken burger is on the right. The thickness isn't "plump", it's "fat". They pack in the ingredients so generously that the burger is always on the verge of bursting.

Aren't these burgers solid? I like Gladyburger because there's no cheating. The truffle mushroom burger is loaded with mushrooms, which I love, and the truffle aroma rises right up.

You can feel the care in just one bite, which is why I keep coming back.

Sides: garlic butter potatoes vs dirty fries

What can I say about the garlic butter potatoes? You know this combo can't be bad, right? We always get either dirty fries or garlic butter potatoes. The garlic butter potatoes are good, but the dirty fries are really good too, so please try them!! Highly recommended!

I took a bite of each. See how packed they are? Every chicken burger I'd eaten before was fake. Gladyburger's new chicken burger has whole chicken in it, so your mouth feels completely full, and I love that haha.

The truffle mushroom burger didn't let me down either. The taste I love and the portion I love, exactly the same!
