Hi, I'm Pink Bonbon, a mom who loves a good food tour. This weekend I headed to Daedong Korean Buffet & Dosirak, a great-value Korean restaurant in Yongin, for lunch.

Daedong Korean Buffet & Dosirak is located near Jubuk-ro in Yongin, and since it's open on weekends too, we went for weekend lunch. There's a wide, spacious parking lot right in front of the restaurant, so parking and getting inside was easy.
Inside the 330 m² dining room: how the food is laid out
The interior of Daedong Korean Buffet & Dosirak, a well-known Korean buffet in Cheoin-gu, Yongin, is spacious at about 330 square meters (100 pyeong). It's famous among nearby office workers who run a tab there and rely on it for meals, and it's a great-value spot in Cheoin-gu with prices under ₩10,000. As soon as you walk in, you see a long row of food stations laid out, with dishes arranged in the center and along both sides.
Right when you walk into Daedong Korean Buffet & Dosirak, a Korean buffet in Yongin, there's a posted menu that changes on a weekly basis, so you can preview it before you go through the line — I liked that.
That day's mains: jeyuk-bokkeum and fish cutlet
Daedong Korean Buffet & Dosirak in Cheoin-gu, Yongin, is well known for staying open on weekends, which is why families come from far away — it's genuinely one of the go-to spots in the area. Looking at the Korean buffet dishes laid out in the center of the store, my appetite just exploded haha. Today's mains seemed to be braised pork (jeyuk-bokkeum) and fish cutlet, and they were so popular that staff kept refilling the trays the moment they got even a little low — the system worked really well. There were also plenty of side dishes like kimchi, seasoned cucumbers, seasoned zucchini, and egg rolls, plus a bean sprout kimchi soup that day. Seeing a menu full of all my favorite dishes at Daedong Korean Buffet & Dosirak made me so happy.
There were two kinds of rice — plain white rice and rice mixed with millet — so I piled my plate high with the healthier millet rice.
Raw vegetable bar, rice cakes, watermelon punch and homemade sikhye

There was also a refreshing, sweet watermelon punch (subak-hwachae) and homemade sikhye (sweet rice drink) prepared in-house.
The anchovy noodle, self-serve ramyeon, toast and cereal corner
There was also an anchovy noodle (myeolchi guksu) and self-serve ramen corner along with a toast station, which I loved, and a cereal corner that kids enjoy — there was truly nothing missing, every corner packed with delicious food!!
What my daughter and I piled onto one tray
We'd just come back from a hospital visit that day, so heading to Daedong Korean Buffet & Dosirak, a Korean buffet my elementary-school daughter loves, was a good call for an easy meal~~ The menu had plenty of things she likes, so we each loaded up our trays with whatever we wanted. I gave her two portions of anchovy noodles, and filled the rest of the big tray with braised pork, tteokbokki, seasoned cucumbers, egg rolls, and more!!
How the food tasted, and why Daedong fills up before noon
I'd been craving egg rolls today, and the mild, savory egg rolls with the spicy braised pork and tangy seasoned cucumbers hit the spot so perfectly!! It was so good I went back for seconds and thirds and still kept thinking about it! The cabbage salad was also generous, with plenty of kiwi dressing, and the fresh vegetables in between kept everything light — it all added up to a really tasty Korean buffet at Daedong Korean Buffet & Dosirak in Cheoin-gu, Yongin!!
The spacious dining room was already completely full before noon — I turned around and was genuinely surprised!! My daughter and I ate our fill and finished off with cool, sweet sikhye and kkultteok for dessert!! I'd definitely recommend Daedong Korean Buffet & Dosirak, a Korean buffet spot in Cheoin-gu, Yongin, for a family meal out or a group gathering~~
