Today I met up with my elementary school friends, so let me introduce a great spot for a friends' get-together! This time I ate really well — steak, salad, and even cream pasta, haha. Especially the steak that comes out piled high in a huge pan — the visuals alone were insane 🤩

On a day with weather this nice ☀️, you'd rather be out than sitting at home, right? Especially with family, even more so haha. It seems the weather knew I was out today, because it was clear and beautiful 🩵 Enjoying that weather and the leisurely mood, I arrived at Rustic Smoke House 🙌🏻

Is parking easy? The gravel outdoor lot out front

The parking lot at Rustic Smoke House Yongin Yangji Branch is an outdoor gravel lot right in front of the restaurant. Looks pretty spacious even in photos, right?! When you're moving around with family, easy parking matters a lot!! Even when I visited and there were plenty of cars already parked, the lot itself was on the larger side 👍🏻

Once you park, Rustic Smoke House is right there in front of you!

The entrance is decorated with signboards, which honestly made me feel like I'd arrived at Everland haha. There's also a sticky-note corner where visitors leave messages. Remember this part!! There's a payoff coming later 😤

Interior and seating: can Rustic Smoke House handle big groups?

Once inside, the vibe is completely different from the outside 👀 True to the 'rustic' in the name, the whole place had a strong vintage feel!

The restaurant was bigger than I expected 🤩 When I visited there were quite a few other guests too, and there was a good mix of tables — from tables for 4 to 8 people, to seating arranged for larger groups haha. I saw plenty of families dining there too 🙌🏻

High ceilings with warm-toned lighting, even a chandelier — it really caught my eye the moment I walked in haha. Best of all, there were pushed-together tables perfect for group gatherings 🙌🏻 And you all... there is SO much decor here 🥰

Every wall is packed with framed pictures, clocks, plants, lamps — plenty to look at 😍 If you like spaces with character rather than plain, minimal decor, you'll enjoy just wandering around and looking. Good to keep in mind whether you're looking for a date spot around Yongin Yangji or a place for a family meal or group gathering!

How ordering works and what's on the menu

You order using the tablet on the table 🙌🏻 It was convenient being able to sit, browse the menu at your own pace, and order right away haha. There's a pretty wide range of items, so it works fine even if meat lovers and pasta lovers come together 😎 (menu is current as of September 20, 2026)

What I ordered was the couple set for two (BBQ platter + cream cheese pasta) plus brisket 🫶🏻

What's on the self-serve bar?

On one side there was a separate SELF BAR set up! You grab whatever tableware or water you need over there 🙌🏻 But even this... even the self-serve bar wasn't left plain, haha.

It was full of plants, flowers, and all kinds of props, so grabbing things from the self-serve bar felt atmospheric in a nice way 🥰 The self-serve bar had small plates, soup bowls, chopsticks, spoons, strawberry jam, napkins, toothpicks, paper cups, plastic gloves, tongs, and water.

The steak platter that arrives in a giant pan

Okay, now!!! Time to show you the food 😎 Finally, the main dish arrives 🔥 Everyone, look at these visuals..🤩👍🏻 Wow.. the food was genuinely insane!!! That combination of shine and juiciness ㅠㅠ I was actually stunned when it came out 😳

What arrives in the huge pan is the steak platter 🥩 Piled high with grilled shrimp, corn, bell peppers, zucchini, and more grilled vegetables 🤩 The moment it came out I said, 'I'm taking a photo, nobody touch it!' haha 🤣📸

Looks so good, right?!! And it really was ㅠㅠㅠ If you watch it sizzling in the video, I bet you'd instantly want to come here haha. The meat cut so easily ㅠㅠ and the texture was completely tender! The flavor was honestly on par with a hotel-quality steak!!!🤤✨

Building mini burgers with the added brisket

The brisket 🍞 that came with it is barbecue made by slow-smoking beef brisket over a long time. Tasting the brisket genuinely surprised me ✨ The meat was SO tender that even people who find chewy meat off-putting could probably enjoy it comfortably 👍🏻

You're meant to make a sandwich with the brisket, coleslaw, and bread, so it felt like something kids could enjoy as a hands-on activity too 👍🏻 Cut the bread in half with a knife, tuck in the meat and coleslaw, and — mini burger complete 🍔✨

There were also fries, which paired well with the mini burgers 🍔🫶🏻 And since eating only meat can feel a bit heavy after a while, a bite of salad 🥗 helps balance things out.

Sharing the cream cheese pasta around the table

The salad had fresh vegetables plus cherry tomatoes, good for eating alongside everything else 👍🏻 And of course, the pasta 🍝 I ordered the cream cheese pasta 🍽️ There was plenty of cream sauce, with cheese piled on top of the noodles — you could tell just by looking it would be rich and thick haha.

A bite of meat, then twirl up some pasta, then a bite of salad, then a mini burger (?) — ordering a bunch of different dishes and sharing them like this is one of the best parts of eating out 😆 If this isn't proof of eating well, I don't know what is 😎👍🏻

A surprise at the sticky-note corner

A cute discovery right before I left, haha — 'Kimgi songsong idiot.' Remember earlier when I told you to remember the sticky-note part?! Right before leaving, I went to write something on the visitor sticky-note board myself, and it turned out another friend had already written down my nickname and my other friend's nickname there ㅋㅋㅋ I kept wondering why the name looked so familiar..ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

For those three seconds I actually thought, 'huh, some stranger has a nickname similar to ours..' ㅋㅋㅋ🤣 Rustic Smoke House Yongin Yangji Branch isn't just about the food — there are little things to discover all around the restaurant, which made looking around genuinely fun too ☺️❤️
