Looking for a kid-friendly café in Wondang, Goyang?

Baedagol Bakery House (배다골베이커리하우스) is a bakery café in Wondang, Goyang. With a garden, a sandpit, snow-flake bingsu and bakery items all in one place, it was a great weekend outing with kids. The weather has been so nice lately, so you're probably wondering every weekend where to take the kids, right? When I actually go to the places that are hot on Instagram, parking is hell, or the kids get bored and we leave pretty quickly.

This time I found a genuinely "wow!" hidden place. A huge, lush, well-kept garden, a sandpit the kids go crazy for, and snow-flake bingsu and bakery items to blow away the heat. Everything clicked. It's Baedagol Bakery House.

Honestly, I wanted to keep it to myself in case it gets more famous and there's a wait, but I was so happy with it that I'm sharing it just with you, my neighbors!

It has a natural feel, a world apart from those stark, trendy big city cafés, and it's a photo zone where even casual snaps come out like the shot of your life. It's so exotic and peaceful that I wondered if this was really near Seoul, so I think it could be the best Goyang café for anyone hunting for a weekend healing spot.

Let's be honest: when you go to a café with kids, you can barely sit for 30 minutes and you worry about them getting noisy. But at Baedagol Bakery House, the kids got totally absorbed in squishing sand and lost track of time, so we adults could finally enjoy a relaxed tea time looking out at the garden for the first time in ages.

The thoughtful touches for kids really stand out, so I'd strongly recommend this Ilsan-area café to seasoned parents hunting for a yes-kids zone.

What we ordered was a winning combination that couldn't possibly taste bad.

Ordered mango bingsu and drinks

Mango bingsu

The mango bingsu was overwhelming from the looks alone! Sweet, ripe mango is piled on generously over snow-flake ice that melts softly in your mouth. One bite and you're cooled down to the top of your head, with a natural sweetness filling your mouth. It was the best bingsu I've ever had, so I strongly recommend ordering it.

Iced americano

The basics of a bakery café are the coffee beans, right? It had no acidity, with a nutty, heavy body, so it balanced perfectly with sweet desserts and bingsu.

Iced Earl Grey

The fragrant, clean Earl Grey flavor comes through coolly, and it was perfect for refreshing a hot, tired body.
