Do you get a discount after eating at a Mulwang Reservoir restaurant?

Flowerpot Cafe & Bakery sits behind Jeongtong Boribap (a barley rice restaurant), and if you eat at a nearby restaurant and bring your receipt, you get 10% off drinks. I came to this Mulwang Reservoir bakery café with a friend who loves pretty cafés.

There is also a large parking lot, so it is easy to come by car.

Flowerpot Cafe & Bakery floors and seating: bakery, café and rooftop

At Flowerpot Cafe & Bakery, the 1st floor is the bakery, the 2nd floor is the bakery café and the 3rd floor is a rooftop. Autumn is getting deep, but the premium fresh fruit juice and bingsu (shaved ice dessert) set menu is still selling like hotcakes.

After parking and walking through the entrance, we found a nature-friendly space that feels like being in a forest. The tables fenced in by tall, straight trees would be great for a date.

Upstairs on the 2nd floor there are tables for groups of all sizes, plus a terrace with the awnings pulled down. The sun and breeze are lovely, so the terrace seats are quietly popular.

It was a weekday, so nobody was up on the 3rd floor, but on weekends the rooftop is so popular that seats are hard to get. With everything from window seats to tables for 2, 4 and 6, it is a top choice for all kinds of gatherings.

We picked a seat and went back down to the ordering counter on the 2nd floor.

Chewy croissant, blueberry cream cheese bread, olive ciabatta, mont blanc, red bean bread, salt bread, mocha bread and more, enough to work as a meal, plus desserts like egg tarts, canelés, chestnut yanggaeng (sweet jelly) and scones. It is all fully stocked, so for a bread lover just browsing is therapy.

Chewy croissant, iced latte and lemonade at Flowerpot: how they tasted

We had already eaten a meal, but dessert is its own thing, so we chose our bakery items and drinks carefully.

  • Iced latte: good body
  • Lemonade: the zesty lemon bits popping in every sip were charming
  • Chewy croissant: the glutinous rice makes it extra chewy, and we enjoyed it crispy too

👏 👏 My friend and I were both happy we came to Flowerpot Cafe & Bakery.
