Wangsimni Station café with Wi-Fi napkins: nutty Americano, Eojil In
In short
Eojil In Wangsimni Station Branch (어질 인 왕십리역점) is a two-floor bakery café in Seongdong, Seoul, about a 1-minute walk from Wangsimni Station Exit 6. On a weekday afternoon the writer ordered an Americano and the signature Basque cheesecake, sat at a window seat on the second floor, and found Wi-Fi and restroom info printed on the table napkins, which was handy. The nutty Americano and not-too-sweet Basque cheesecake at Eojil In made for a satisfying pairing.

Exterior and the 1F bakery
The first thing that caught my eye when I arrived was the stylish exterior. A gray building with wood accents gave it a calm yet refined feel,

and at the entrance there's a sculpture of the Chinese character 仁 ("eojil", meaning benevolent), which gives the café its name. It felt less like a plain sign and more like the brand's identity, and the warm lighting visible through the big windows got me excited before I even went in.
The café is large and uses both the 1st and 2nd floors. The ground floor has the ordering counter and a bakery showcase, and browsing the desserts is half the fun. Every bread and cake on display looked so tempting that choosing was hard. The smell of coffee mixed with baked goods put me in a good mood the moment I walked in.

Is the 2F seating good for working?
The 2nd floor has window seats and tables set far apart, so it was comfortable to work alone. After ordering I headed upstairs, and even the staircase is prettily decorated. It felt less like a way to get from A to B and more like an interior highlight that carries the café's mood, so I naturally started taking photos.
The 2nd floor is a roomier, more pleasant seating area. Window seats and tables are well arranged, and with generous space between seats, I could stay comfortably without feeling cramped.

It suits solo visits for reading or laptop work, and it's also nice for chatting with friends or a date. The natural light coming through the big windows made it feel especially cozy.
Overall it wasn't noisy and had a calm atmosphere, so it was easy to stay for a long time. When I visited there were people studying or working and others chatting with friends, and it was nice to see everyone spending their time comfortably in their own way.
What does the Eojil In Americano taste like?
🔥 This time at Eojil In Wangsimni Station Branch I ordered an Americano and the signature Basque cheesecake.

First, the Americano: not very acidic, with a nutty flavor at the center. The first sip had a subtle bean aroma and the finish was clean, so anyone could enjoy it without effort. It's a coffee that goes especially well with dessert.

How does the signature Basque cheesecake taste?
Eojil In's signature Basque cheesecake is deeply baked on the outside, moist inside, and not overly sweet. It was the item I was most looking forward to that day.

It looked delicious, and after one bite I understood why it's the signature. The deeply baked surface gave that rich, deep flavor Basque cheesecake is known for, while the inside was moist and soft, and the way it melted in my mouth was wonderful.

The cheese flavor was rich yet not too sweet, so I could enjoy it to the last bite, and the heavy but smooth texture was charming.

Eaten with the Americano, the cheesecake's flavor really came alive and I was very satisfied. Personally, I'd recommend ordering the two together.

The napkin with Wi-Fi and restroom info
The napkins on the tables at Eojil In Wangsimni Station Branch have the restroom location and Wi-Fi info printed on them. When I looked closely, they turned out to be more than plain napkins.
There's a cute illustration marking where the restroom is, and the Wi-Fi ID and password are written there too, so you can use them without asking the staff. It's a small thing, but I could feel the care for customers and it left a good impression.
Sitting by the window with my coffee and taking a little break was lovely too. It felt like the perfect space for a moment of calm in a busy day, and the comfort of the place made me lose track of time.

Would I go back to Eojil In Wangsimni Station Branch?

It had it all: an easy-to-reach location, stylish interior, a spacious and pleasant space, and satisfying coffee and Basque cheesecake.
