Sunae Station Korean restaurant, quickest chicken gomtang: Myeongyeok

A Bundang favorite of mine disappeared and I stayed away for a while, but recently I spotted some new Bundang places and went exploring~ Today it's a kalguksu spot near Sunae Station.

Myeongyeok has table ordering, so you grab a seat first, then check the menu and order right from your table. It's really busy. Once you taste it, you'll come back! Up to that point I thought, well, it's lunchtime, so of course it's crowded.. but right after the meal I bookmarked it.

Myeongyeok tenderloin chicken katsu set: how's the chicken cutlet?

Myeongyeok has a set that pairs chicken kalguksu with tenderloin chicken katsu, so I ordered one of those.

First I cut the katsu into bite-size pieces and tasted them one by one~ The lineup is nice, but the taste was even more satisfying.

I love chicken katsu.. and of all the chicken katsu I've had so far, Myeongyeok's tenderloin chicken katsu is by far the best!!! Whenever I crave katsu from now on, I think I'll remember this place.

Myeongyeok chicken kalguksu: dipping noodles in the special sauce

Myeongyeok's chicken kalguksu comes with its own sauce, so you can scoop up just the noodles and dip them. The chicken kalguksu I'd been waiting and waiting for finally arrived. I ordered it because it's the signature dish of this kalguksu spot near Sunae Station. And honestly, the chicken kalguksu here is the best!!!

I scooped out just the noodles, dipped them in the special sauce, and the taste was superb. I bet the owner really knows food. It feels like this isn't a restaurant made by someone who's only good at cooking, but by someone who knows about everything.

The self-serve bar at Myeongyeok offers free-refill rice, so I brought back a heaping bowl and added it to the broth. If you're having the chicken gomtang, drop the rice in right after you finish the chicken!

• Chicken kalguksu: put the noodles and rice in together from the start haha
• Chicken kalguksu: leave just the broth, then add the rice and eat it as a soup

Myeongyeok's tenderloin chicken katsu comes with morning bread (small soft dinner rolls), salad and pickles, so I made myself a mini burger too ^^
