Danyang café with limited sneakers and banana garlic bingsu: JB Coffee

I was on a domestic trip in Danyang and heard there was a hot café dessert here, so I went to JB Coffee (제이비커피)! Danyang's specialty is garlic and black garlic, right? And there's a café selling garlic bingsu (shaved ice), which is so unusual that I had to go!

But it's not only about dessert..!!! There are an insane number of One Piece figures!!! Super expensive ones, and it's fun just to look at them. Limited-edition Nike and Louis Vuitton sneakers plus a One Piece figure collection!!! I thought it was a One Piece museum, haha. A café with fun for eating and fun for looking!

JB Coffee in Danyang: location, parking and hours

JB Coffee is at 10-4 Byeolgok 12-gil, Danyang-eup, Danyang-gun, Chungbuk, South Korea, and has free parking. It's open daily 10:00-19:00 (last order 18:30), and groups and pets are welcome, I heard.

This is JB Coffee. The exterior has a nice vibe too, right!! Inside there's a second floor and a yard, and it's a much bigger café than I expected.

It's a stylish café even from the outside. I stopped by after a loop around Danyang Gugyeong Market (the local market) for a sweet bingsu and a coffee. If you walk from the market toward the intercity bus terminal, you'll find JB Coffee easily~!

There are terrace seats too, so it looked like a lovely place to enjoy good weather.

How many One Piece figures does JB Coffee have?

JB Coffee has One Piece figures all over the terrace, outdoor seats and second floor, so it feels like a One Piece museum in Danyang. There are even mannequin-sized, life-size figures.

This is the second floor of JB Coffee. It's quite spacious with lots of seats. There's a terrace up here too, so it's a good café for nice weather! Full of One Piece figures that look crazy expensive...!!! haha. Who knew there'd be a café like this in Danyang!

Cute cats to look at are a bonus! Haha. On the second-floor terrace I could see mountains, and the countryside view felt so homey, hehe. It was my first time in Danyang, and it has lots of mountains and really pretty scenery.

It turns out JB Coffee is a famous Danyang café that has been on TV shows like Saengsaeng Jeongbo, Korea Travelogue (Hanguk Gihaeng) and Live Today Morning (Saengbangsong Oneul Achim)! Dodamsambong is Danyang's famous sight, and they came up with unusual desserts like Dodam Sambong bingsu and garlic bingsu from local specialties and tourist spots. What an idea!

How was the ₩10,000 banana garlic bingsu 'Maneulinjul-allatdanyang'?

At JB Coffee I ordered the garlic bingsu 'Maneulinjul-allatdanyang' (마늘인줄알았단양) in banana (₩10,000) and an iced americano. The garlic bingsu comes in melon, banana and strawberry, and it arrives with a coffee shot so you can eat it like affogato.

We ordered the ₩10,000 garlic bingsu Maneulinjul-allatdanyang. The name is so witty! (It roughly means "I thought it was garlic, Danyang".) There are three flavors, melon, banana and strawberry, and we went with banana! The bingsu comes with a coffee shot so you can eat it like affogato. They kindly explained how to eat it too!

Such a pretty look!! I went without knowing Danyang's specialty was garlic and black garlic, but everywhere you go they're selling garlic, haha. Even the café has garlic bingsu! Why is it so cute and pretty, haha.

There's also garlic-shaped chocolate underneath.

How to eat the garlic bingsu

Pour the coffee shot over the bingsu, then break off the garlic cloves one by one and eat them with the coffee and bingsu.

How did they freeze the garlic-shaped ice so neatly? So amazing!! Haha. It's fun to break off the cloves one by one like this. Cool in the mouth, sweet, such a feel-good dessert!!!

The banana flavor and the coffee shot went so well together. It reminded me of the trendy banana milk latte, haha. The banana ice was sweet and delicious.

Underneath is garlic-shaped chocolate, and it really looks like garlic, haha.
