Today I'm introducing Susi Seon Bangi Branch. I was craving sushi for lunch, and after mulling over where to go, I ended up at Susi Seon Bangi Branch in Bangi-dong.
This sushi spot in Bangi-dong has been running out of the same location for 13 years. Even my friend turns out to be a regular here! Alright, let's get into the review of Susi Seon Bangi Branch!

Inside Susi Seon Bangi Branch and its solo seats
Here's the interior of Susi Seon Bangi Branch. The place was clean and pleasant overall, so it was comfortable to eat there. The cute little decorations scattered around the space really showed the owner's care — fun to look at while waiting for the food, haha.
We came in around 3pm, right in that awkward off-peak window, so there weren't many customers when we arrived. But right as we finished and left, a crowd of people came pouring in.
There are solo seats too, which looked perfect for a solo meal in Bangi-dong.

Here's the menu at this lunch spot in the Bangi-dong food alley. A great-value sushi place — hard to find at today's prices! Everything looked good value, so I figured we'd be satisfied no matter what we picked. We went with the couple set!

The starter porridge, salad and somen noodles
This is a review of Susi Seon Bangi Branch, a sushi spot in Bangi-dong. Wow, they bring out salad bibim noodles and porridge as basic starters! The porridge was seasoned just right and delicious — I slurped it right up. It gently warmed up my stomach before the meal.
At first I thought it was a salad and paid no attention, but when I saw my friend eating it, it turned out to be thin noodles (somyeon). Whoa, sweet and tangy — perfect as an appetizer.
What comes with the 38,000-won couple set?
The couple set (for 2) arrived! Sushi + tonkatsu + 2 mini udon, plus flounder 2, salmon 2, soy-marinated shrimp 2, tuna 2, smoked duck 2, crab meat 2, scallop 2. We got tako wasabi instead of smoked duck. The portion was so huge I thought I was going to burst.
Three kinds of tonkatsu: croquette, plain and cheese
I expected the tonkatsu in the set to be just a small taste, but whoa, it was basically a full tonkatsu set. Generous portion and a nice variety: croquette, regular tonkatsu, and cheese tonkatsu.
The couple set at Susi Seon Bangi Branch was so packed that even two guys could eat their fill from it. A great-value sushi spot in Bangi-dong, highly recommended! The cheese tonkatsu was love. The tonkatsu was also crispy without being greasy — loved it.
Two mini udon on the side
There were also two servings of udon. Usually the udon that comes with a sushi set is a tiny sample-sized portion, but at Susi Seon Bangi Branch it came as a proper mini udon with a satisfying amount. The noodles were chewy and the broth was well-seasoned — delicious.
How did the sushi taste?
Glossy, shiny flounder, salmon, and tuna. It melted in my mouth to the point I wanted to order more — so good, ugh.

My all-time favorites, tuna and salmon, even got their own solo close-up shots haha. Next time I'll order the 'Build-Your-Own Sushi 10pcs' and just get all salmon or tuna. So good.
