Gangnam Seoul barbershop men's cut: Divers Barbershop
In short
Divers Barbershop Gangnam-gu Office Station Branch is a men's haircut and styling space in Gangnam, Seoul. My husband discussed his fine hair and dislike of hair products, then received a low-maintenance cut with detailed finishing and styling guidance. We were both pleased with the neat result.

While talking with my husband about whether he should grow out his hair, we ended up visiting a barbershop. He was also curious about how it differed from a regular hair salon. This time, we went to Divers Barbershop Gangnam-gu Office Station Branch (다이버스 바버샵 강남구청역점).

How did we get to the barbershop from Gangnam-gu Office Station?
From Exit 2 of Gangnam-gu Office Station, we used the indoor route leading to the SK Hub Blue building. Without going outside, we took the escalator up and turned the corner to find the shop. Its listed location is Unit 107 on Basement Level 1.

The rotating barber pole and teal interior caught my eye. The shop introduced its one-on-one customized cuts and styling, taking head shape, face shape, hair characteristics, and lifestyle into account.

What was the atmosphere like at this first barbershop visit?
When we opened the door, the space felt compact and cozy. It reminded me of a small space in Europe.

It was our first time at a barbershop, but its relaxed atmosphere did not feel unfamiliar.

At the time of our visit, Naver Booking showed two barbers, and we booked one of them. There also appeared to be two service stations in the shop.

The small decorations placed around the space also caught my attention. Although it was a space focused on men's hair, I found myself wanting a haircut too.

The shampoo area was at the very back of the shop.

What stood out while preparing for the haircut?
Haircut tools including scissors, clippers, and razor blades were ready. They wrapped a neck strip, which looked like paper tape, around his neck. It stood out because it was a preparation step I had not seen during haircuts at salons I had visited before.

How did they account for fine hair and daily styling habits?
My husband has fine hair and dislikes putting products in it. After discussing these traits and his preferred style several times, they did the cut and styling in a way that would be easy to maintain. Comparing before and after, his overall look was neater, especially along the cleanly shaped hairline.

How were the haircut process and final guidance?
Watching from the side, I was surprised by how much time went into a men's cut. It was not finished after one cut; it went through several rounds of careful trimming. My husband, who is particular about his style, was satisfied with both the process and the finished haircut.
At the end, they also explained how to style it at home. I was impressed that they carefully checked the look he wanted beforehand and then explained how to maintain the style after the cut.

What I appreciated most during this visit was that they considered both my husband's hair and his usual grooming habits. It was our first barbershop visit, but we were both pleased that he could discuss a style suited to him and leave with a neat cut.
