Today I want to tell you about a Korean buffet in Cheoin-gu, Yongin, that's neat and not at all harsh in flavor, so it sits comfortably in your stomach even if you ate there every day.

I was passing nearby and had heard you can enjoy a wide range of home-style side dishes and even dessert at a friendly price, so I happily headed over.

What is Daedong Korean Buffet & Dosirak?
The place I visited is Daedong Korean Buffet & Dosirak (대동한식뷔페&도시락), a Korean buffet with a big parking lot. As soon as I walked in, a tidy buffet line was laid out neatly, so I felt ready to eat in peace. It was lunchtime, so it was pretty bustling, haha.
Location, parking and atmosphere in Yangji-eup
Daedong sits at 8 Jubuk-ro 94beon-gil, Yangji-eup, Cheoin-gu, Yongin, and it may be a little tricky to find. There are lots of factories around, so most of the customers seemed to be office and factory workers nearby, and local residents drop in now and then for lunch or to pick up a hearty dosirak (lunch box). It has a warm, homey feel.
Inside, there are wide tables with plenty of room, so it's great for eating alone or coming with a group.

After grabbing a seat I headed to the buffet line, where hot rice and a generous spread of side dishes that change every day were waiting.
Are the side dishes lightly seasoned?
I piled my plate with as much as I wanted and dug in. What I liked most about Daedong was that the sides weren't salty or harsh at all; the seasoning was just right and mild.

There was no strong MSG taste floating on top. It tasted like the familiar, easygoing cooking Mom does at home, so I never got tired of it.

From meat dishes to fresh namul (seasoned vegetables) and warm soup, it was well balanced, and even after one meal my stomach felt comfortable and nicely full.
Dessert corner, noodles and ramen

After filling up on rice and sides, you can head to the dessert corner at one side of the restaurant for a sweet finish. It has a variety of desserts to cleanse the palate, so you don't even need to go to a separate café. There are also noodles and ramen for anyone who didn't get enough or didn't love the meal, haha.

Ending the meal with something sweet and a cold drink doubled my satisfaction. With well-made basic Korean sides plus a thoughtful dessert spread, I was happy right down to the last bite.
Is Daedong Korean Buffet worth it for lunch?
Nothing was too sweet or too salty, just a fair, easygoing seasoning, so my stomach stayed comfortable after the meal. It was a great Korean buffet.
You can take as much of the neat, home-style sides that change daily as you like, so the value is excellent, and above all the dessert corner lets you finish with a clean palate, so I wrapped up a very satisfying meal in one spot.
If you're near Cheoin-gu, Yongin, and looking for a filling, stomach-friendly lunch at a friendly price, or a good-value Korean dosirak to take away, I hope you'll stop by Daedong Korean Buffet & Dosirak and try a hearty home-style meal yourself.
