It's across from Namhansangseonggalbi in downtown Jeongwang, so it's easy to reach by public transport. If you order ₩30,000 or more, you get a 2-hour free parking ticket for the Parc lot next to Siheung Bus Terminal, a 2-minute walk away, so driving is super easy too 🚗

The restaurant is big enough for 56 people at once, and there are waiting seats by the entrance. Even if there's a wait, you can sit comfortably, which is nice!

The interior is clean and tidy. It's spacious, so it seems good for group gatherings and company dinners, and the tables are spaced out so you can eat comfortably. I think it would also work as a date spot in Jeongwang-dong!?

One side has a fairly private space with transparent sliding doors, which feels perfect for meeting up with friends 😆

Hamdon menu prices and lunch special conditions

At Hamdon Jeongwang Main Branch, cuts like samgyeopsal (pork belly), ogyeopsal (five-layer pork belly), moksal (pork neck) and galmaegisal (pork skirt) are ₩16,000 per 160g. That's not bad already, but if you come before 3 p.m. and order the lunch special, doenjang jjigae (soybean paste stew) comes with it, making it a really good-value meal 😍

Drinks, the thing you can't skip with grilled meat, are covered too: soju, beer and highballs, so you can pair to taste 🍻

Minari (water dropwort) also comes as a side dish. It's good raw, good grilled, and even better with the meat 😋

Lunch set pork belly and the warming plate

With the Hamdon lunch set you can choose pork belly or pork neck, and we picked pork belly 🍖

The pork belly at Hamdon Jeongwang Main Branch really let me taste the chewy texture and flavor typical of Jeju pork. There's a warming plate on one side of the grill, so you can keep eating the meat warm, which made me even happier 🥰

Doenjang stew with pork bones

The lunch set comes with pork belly or pork neck plus doenjang jjigae and a bowl of rice. The stew has big pork bones in it, like gamjatang (pork bone soup), so it tastes much deeper than a regular doenjang jjigae.

Extra order: 504 aged pork neck

The pork belly and the stew were so much better than expected that I couldn't resist, and we ordered the 504 aged pork neck too 🤣

I heard the pork neck at Hamdon Jeongwang Main Branch is premium domestic pork neck aged in a water tank, so it's full of juice. Seriously delicious 🤤
