Gumi café with family seating and chocolate banana waffles: Hands Coffee
In short
Hands Coffee Gumi Goa-eup Branch is a two-story café on the road from Gumi toward Seonsan. I had a chocolate banana waffle and coffee in its spacious, comfortable seating, and while it suited families and groups, it was not especially easy to reach by public transportation.

During my summer vacation, I stopped by Geumosan in Gumi and then went to Hands Coffee Gumi Goa-eup Branch (핸즈커피 구미고아읍점) for coffee. I remember its spacious interior and comfortable seating, and there were also seats that seemed suitable for families with children.

Where is it, and is parking convenient?
It is on the way from Gumi toward Seonsan. It is a little outside the city center, with rice fields around it, so the atmosphere felt quiet and calm.

It was a little difficult to get there by public transportation. I visited by car, and the parking lot beside the café made parking convenient.

Is the interior spacious and comfortable for sitting?
The café has a first and second floor. The center of the second floor is open, which made the ceiling feel high and added to the spacious, open interior.

There were many four-person sofa seats, so I was able to sit comfortably during my stay. The tables were fairly high, and some guests were studying or working.

Where can you sit quietly to study?
When I visited, the second floor was a little quieter than the first and had more guests studying. There were quite a few people, but perhaps because the space was large, it did not feel especially noisy.

Are there seats for children and families?
There were separate group seating areas. In addition to spaces for six to ten people, there were several group tables for six or more, so it seemed well suited to families visiting together.

The café was introduced as a Yes Kids Zone and Kids Care Zone. There were several floor tables in a separate area, making it worth considering when visiting with young children.

Can you order brunch as well as waffles?
At the time of my visit, six kinds of brunch were available along with waffles. Brunch could be ordered until 5 PM, and ordering it as a set with coffee cost less.

How was the chocolate banana waffle I ordered?
I ordered a chocolate banana waffle, a long black, and a vanilla latte.

The waffle itself had chocolate in the batter, so it was sweet. It came with chocolate syrup over bananas, as well as whipped cream and chocolate ice cream. I could have it with cream or enjoy it chilled with the ice cream.

I was satisfied to rest in the spacious café with comfortable seating while having coffee and a generous dessert. It is a place to keep in mind if you are traveling by car and looking for space for a family to sit together or somewhere calm to stay.
