Dark brown dye on long hair at Uahan Meori, a Wangsimni hair salon

I got a clinic treatment last time and have been keeping it up, and now I finally went to deal with the most serious problem with my hair: the dye job! This time I visited Uahan Meori Wangsimni Centras Branch (우아한머리 왕십리센트라스점), a hair salon in Wangsimni! Here's my honest review!😆

How to get to Uahan Meori Wangsimni Centras Branch

Uahan Meori Wangsimni Centras Branch is on the 1st floor of Building H of Wangsimni Centras, and you can walk there from Sangwangsimni Station.

I got off at Sangwangsimni Station and walked over! It's the 1st floor of Wangsimni Centras Building H, but you go up some stairs from there~!!

The salon was spacious and clean. It has floor-to-ceiling windows, so even though I went after work, the sunlight poured in.

Bright level 7–8 hair: what color did I tone it down to?

Before dyeing, my hair was fairly bright, around level 7–8. It looked too light and patchy lately, so I decided to go dark, all the way down, while I was at it~!

The target color was level 3–4, a dark brown that's almost natural brown. My designer checked my hair condition carefully and helped me choose the color! 😊

Would the heavily grown-out roots blend in?

My roots had grown out a lot 😅 The roots are a different level, and I was worried about how they'd connect naturally with the already-grown part. She said that going too sharply darker than the existing color can look awkward, so she'd match it naturally, and that put my mind at ease😌

How much was the length surcharge for full dye on long hair?

At Uahan Meori Wangsimni Centras Branch, my hair was chest length or longer, so there was a ₩50,000 length surcharge. I'd been told about it beforehand, so I could pay without being flustered. If you have long hair, I recommend checking the length-related price before you visit 😊

What was the dyeing process like?

They also brought me a drink while the dye was being applied!

After all the dye was applied, I waited, then moved to the shampoo room.

The designer matched the color so it connects naturally from the roots to the ends, and I loved the result! ✨ She checked in on me from time to time while the dye was on, and after finishing she also told me care tips I really should remember.

How to keep your hair color longer

This color can get lighter again over time too, so I was told to wash with cold water as much as possible. Washing with warm water makes the color fade much faster. If you want your hair color to last, definitely remember this!😉

I was really happy with my level 3–4 dark brown hair! ❤️ Seeing my bright hair turn so calm and polished totally changed my mood! Even though my roots had grown out a lot, it matched cleanly without showing at all, which I loved😍

Since it's a dark color, the only thing to watch out for is that some color may wash out when you shampoo for the first few days. They also explained that it could rub off on your pillow, so lay a towel or something down~!!! It may be obvious, but I liked that they explained it in such detail 😊

Uahan Meori Wangsimni Centras Branch, honestly, was better than I expected! Thanks to the designer's careful consultation and natural color matching, I got a tone-down result I'm really happy with❤️ I just blow-dried it casually, and even the hair from last week's clinic treatment doesn't seem damaged. Best of all, it took less than an hour and a half👍🏻 If you're looking for a hair salon in Wangsimni, I recommend giving it a visit!
