Coffee and ice cream café in Songpa: Wundergato at Wunder Coffee Bar

A regular Americano or latte is great, but sometimes you crave a slightly special coffee dessert instead of your usual order, right? haha Here's my story about Wunder Coffee Bar, a café near Jangji Station (장지역) that I found while wandering around Garden5. It's perfect for a short break from shopping, or for a day when you want a sweet dessert and coffee together!

Where is Wunder Coffee Bar Garden5 and when is it open?

Wunder Coffee Bar (분더커피바) is at 66 Chungmin-ro, Songpa-gu, Seoul, on B1 of Hyundai Outlet Garden5. It sits inside the food hall, so it's easy to drop into right along your shopping route.

Garden5 and Hyundai City Mall have lots to see and a wide range of stores, so time flies as you browse. Having a café nearby then is really handy: you can sit down for a bit and have a cup of coffee.

Since Wunder Coffee Bar is inside the food court, the seating was fairly roomy, and it felt easy to visit with a child too. The biggest plus is that you don't have to go out of your way to find a café; you can just stop by while shopping.

What's on the menu at Wunder Coffee Bar?

Besides basic coffee drinks, Wunder Coffee Bar sells cream coffees and a variety of dessert items made with ice cream. Even just reading the menu was fun.

At Wunder Coffee Bar you can also pick your ice cream flavor.

Even someone who only ever drinks Americano would probably be tempted by something else here. Being able to enjoy coffee and ice cream together is the charm of Wunder Coffee Bar.

How was the Wundergato?

I ordered two things at Wunder Coffee Bar this day: the Wundergato (₩7,200) and an iced Americano.

My pick was the Wundergato. The name alone made me curious, since it's a drink that combines coffee and ice cream, and it really did let me enjoy the coffee flavor and the sweetness of the ice cream at once.

The Wundergato is ideal for days when just coffee feels a bit lacking and just ice cream isn't quite enough because you want coffee. It came in a pretty cup, so it's good for photos too, and it worked well as a sugar-recharge dessert during shopping.

If you like both coffee and ice cream, the Wundergato is the first thing I'd suggest considering.

Wunder Coffee Bar was a nice place to rest for a while during shopping at Garden5. I'd especially recommend it for days when you want a coffee and ice cream dessert together rather than just coffee, or when you're in the mood for something different.
