It was a little dry, so they said they'd use a personal shampoo made with jojoba oil. The diagnosis also suggests hairstyles that suit you, which is handy to refer to.

Once you sit down, the aroma ritual massage begins. You can pick one of several oils, and of course I chose the tea tree-scented balance oil. It starts after they loosen up your shoulders and neck, which feels great.

The images I picked were Cool and Cool Casual. Each comes with associated images and photos; Cool is indeed the direction I'm after, while Cool Casual was too edgy.

Keeping the length: root perm and bangs perm

In the end, I decided to leave my length alone and only lightly tidy the ends, cut the side hair, and do a root perm and a bangs perm. Mano de Jamie isn't a factory-style hair shop but a premium salon focused on face-shaping cuts that complement your face. I'm so excited.....

I'm a root-perm regular. I had a perm 4 or 5 months ago, but root perms seem to fall out quickly, sigh.

My designer was very meticulous yet calm while working. She really put effort into lifting my root volume.

While my hair sat under heat after the shampoo, they prepared a drink for me. I went with a sweet iced vanilla latte!!

They even set out sweet snacks, so my mouth was never bored.

Next came the bangs perm, and they rolled the back once more with rollers too.

Root perm result: does the volume hold without blow-drying?

Right after the root perm at Mano de Jamie Busan W Yongho Branch, with no blow-drying at all, the volume at my roots was already hugely lifted!!!! Wow~~~ As you get older, root volume is life, and I love this so much...

Even with zero blow-drying it's very easy to style, and my bangs fell naturally like this with just the rollers in.
