Constitution Day brunch near Itaewon Station with two younger friends
On the Constitution Day holiday, I finally got to meet my two lovely younger friends at Ongfleur, a brunch restaurant near Itaewon Station. Nothing heals you like escaping a busy life, eating good food on a sunny day and chatting away.

I wondered where to go and ended up choosing Ongfleur, known as a go-to brunch spot around Itaewon Station. The name comes from Honfleur, a town on the coast of Normandy, France, and the name alone sounds so romantic that my expectations were high. I planned the day with a fluttering heart, and it turned out even better than I hoped.

Where is Ongfleur?
Ongfleur sits on a quiet alley, Hoenamu-ro 44-gil in Yongsan-gu, a short walk uphill from Itaewon Station. Maybe because it is tucked into the alley, I felt a calm, unhurried air the moment I arrived.
The exterior has a cozy feel, like an old European village, so it is great for photos too. The Grand Hyatt hotel is nearby, and I hear hotel guests drop in often. I could feel right at the entrance why Ongfleur is so famous as an Itaewon Station brunch spot.

What are Ongfleur's interior and seating like?
The interior is decorated with fresh greenery, so it feels like stepping into a garden. Plants greeted us as we went in, and even indoors I felt at ease.

There is a variety of seating, from tables for two to group seats. I came with friends, and the relaxed atmosphere was perfect for talking. It would also suit couples, so it works as an Itaewon date spot too.

The mirror photo spot and divided spaces
Going in along the corridor, the space is divided up, which gives it a private feel. There is also a photo spot with a pretty mirror, and we were so busy taking photos together that we lost track of time. The overall interior is cute yet classy, and it kept me in a good mood the whole time.

How do you order at Ongfleur?

How do the smoked salmon eggs Benedict and brioche French toast taste?
We ordered smoked salmon eggs Benedict and brioche French toast with our brunch set. True to a French-style brunch restaurant, there were plenty of varied dishes.
The drinks came out first: an iced Americano, an iced latte (we call them "Ah-Ah" and "Ah-Ra") and a plain yogurt smoothie.
The plating was so pretty that it delighted our eyes before we even ate. The smoked salmon eggs Benedict balanced the softness of the brioche with the taste of fresh salmon. It is also a great combination for office workers nearby looking for an Itaewon lunch.

Ongfleur, an Itaewon brunch café I want to go back to
Every dish on the varied menu felt carefully made, so I think Ongfleur is a truly recommendable Itaewon brunch café for anyone who wants brunch near Itaewon Station. I had a really happy meal with my younger friends.
The taste of the food and the atmosphere of the place came together for a thoroughly satisfying time. If you want a comfortable rest with carefully made dishes, I recommend visiting Ongfleur.
