Today I'm reviewing a new spot in Itaewon — the 24-hour Nuri Maeul Gamjatang Itaewon Branch!
It's right there the moment you come out of Itaewon Station Exit 4, so it's super accessible. Since it's open 24 hours, you could drink with a friend in the evening and go straight for a hangover cure at dawn haha.
The place was clean and the bone stew was genuinely delicious!! It's packed with bones, and not just bones — the other add-ins came pretty loaded as standard too. My mom and I had a great meal haha. I'll walk through it in detail with photos below!

Once you spot this you've arrived — just come out of Itaewon Station Exit 4. Nuri Maeul Gamjatang is on the 2nd floor!
There's a menu board with prices listed right out front and on the way up, which I liked. Sometimes when there's only a photo and a name I end up googling the price haha, so it was nice to see it right away.
What is the restaurant like inside?
Here's what the inside of Nuri Maeul Gamjatang Itaewon Branch looks like. It was really clean and comfortable. I visited in summer and it was nice and cool haha. There's a big screen on one wall — seemed like a great spot to catch a soccer or baseball game.

What comes with the 38,000-won small aged kimchi bone stew?
We ordered the small aged kimchi bone stew for ₩38,000, glass noodle sari for ₩3,000, self-serve fried rice for two for ₩6,000, and a Coca-Cola Zero for ₩3,000~~
I was torn between gamjatang and bone stew, but that day I really wanted the bone stew haha. We added extra glass noodles, though it looks like it comes with some as standard too! We added extra and ate really generously 😮
Water and side dishes are self-serve. There are self-serve fridges scattered around the place.
We went to grab the side dishes ourselves, but they'd actually already brought them out for us, haha. We didn't realize and each scooped our own portions when we got to the table — turns out they'd already served us one each lol. So my mom and I ended up with double portions of each side dish..?
This dipping sauce is also a real treat — dipping the meat in it is so good.
The braised bones and the free hangover soup broth
The bone stew arrived!! They gave us a bowl of hangover soup broth on the house ㅠㅠ the best.
I could tell the haejangguk (hangover soup) and gamjatang here would definitely be great too — the broth itself was so tasty!
Back to the bone stew haha — they put a whole piece of aged kimchi (mukeunji) right in, which made it look even more delicious.
The portion is seriously~~~~ generous. We ate it just the two of us, but we could've easily brought my sibling along and shared it three ways.
This aged kimchi is genuinely delicious haha. If the kimchi's good, of course the bone stew is good too..!!!
Is the 3,000-won glass noodle sari worth adding?
Haha, no seriously, they gave us a huge amount when we added glass noodles!!!!!! Boss, that was just one add-on, right..? Amazing value! Anyone who loves glass noodles will go crazy for this haha.
There's plenty of rice cake at the bottom too, and plenty of sujebi (hand-torn dough soup). There are mushrooms in there too haha.
Above all, there's just so much meat. The bones are big and there's a lot of meat stuck to them too.
And the meat was so tender..!!!!!!!!!! It just falls right off the bone. Definitely dip it in this sauce ~~
We only ate a couple of bones each and there were still tons left over — honestly, we probably didn't even need the extra glass noodles haha.
Finishing with self-serve fried rice for two, 6,000 won
Even though I felt like I was going to burst, we made room for my mom's fried rice too ^_^ Just move the leftover bone stew into an empty bowl and fry up the rice.
Haha, seriously, I thought I was completely full but somehow there's always room ,, the nutty perilla oil smell was insane!!! Definitely try the fried rice too haha.
We ate so well, so I'd definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a great gamjatang or bone stew spot in Itaewon 🥰❤️
