Today I'm sharing my visit to Seowon Angil Hapjeong (서원안길 합정점), a place in Hapjeong where you can have brunch and really good pasta too.

When you go out with a little one, tasty food matters, but so does whether the space is roomy and comfortable enough to actually eat, right? I came with my child again this time. I'd enjoyed brunch here on an earlier visit, so I wanted to show the place to my kid. The café is huge, the interior is unique, and it photographs well. So if you're looking for a café with a nice atmosphere in Hapjeong, or somewhere to have a meal and dessert together, keep this one in mind!
Where is Seowon Angil Hapjeong, and what are its hours?
Seowon Angil Hapjeong is at 34 Jandari-ro 3-gil, Mapo-gu, Seoul, on floors 1 and 2, about a 3–5 minute walk from Exit 3 of Hapjeong Station. It is open 9 am–8 pm on weekdays, 11 am–10 pm on Saturdays and 11 am–9 pm on Sundays. The 2nd floor hours are a little different.

It's close to Hapjeong Station, so it's easy to reach by public transport. It's a good stop while shopping or on a date nearby, and I liked that you can handle both a meal and a café visit in one place. It isn't a café that only sells coffee and desserts. There's a wide choice of meals too, like salads, brunch plates and pasta.
What is the atmosphere like at Seowon Angil, a Hapjeong brunch café?
Seowon Angil Hapjeong is a sizable brunch café spread over two floors.

Green plants and wood tones blend together, giving a feel of a little breather in the middle of the city. It felt less like a place where you just down a cup of coffee and leave, and more like somewhere to eat at a relaxed pace and chat. It works for a date around Hapjeong or Hongdae, and it suits brunch with friends or an unhurried lunch.
I came with my child, and when eating out with a little one I prefer places with a varied meal menu. After all, a child's food can't be too salty.

When I came alone last time I had the signature tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes), so this time I looked at the pasta, and there was an egg pasta that's good for kids. And on top of that, the blueberry smoothie my kid loves!!
What we ordered at Seowon Angil Hapjeong with a toddler
We ordered four items this time.
- Creamy egg pasta
- Basil tomato ade
- Berry blush smoothie
- Honeycomb yogurt ice cream

One meal, two drinks and a dessert on top, and my kid was so happy with this meal, haha
Creamy egg pasta: is the seasoning mild enough for a child?
The creamy egg pasta at Seowon Angil is a carbonara-style pasta made with bacon, cheese and egg yolk. It's less heavy than carbonara and not strongly seasoned, so it was good to share with my 2-year-old. Pasta works as a brunch dish and is easy on the stomach as a lunch, so it's something I order often.

If you like creamy sauces, this is worth a look. It's less rich than carbonara, with the nutty flavor of egg added, so it was good for kids too. I also liked that the seasoning wasn't strong. The bacon was a bit too salty for my child, though, so I ate all of it myself, hahaha
If you usually like cream pasta, it's worth checking out on the menu. Being able to have a proper meal rather than just coffee at a café made it a satisfying choice.
What does the basil tomato ade taste like?
For drinks, I ordered the basil tomato ade.

It's a slightly different combination from an ordinary fruit ade, so I was curious. The fresh image of tomato plus the fragrance of basil suits anyone looking for a drink that's a bit different. Drunk with the egg pasta, it tasted even fresher and cleaned up my palate. Seowon Angil Hapjeong has a wide choice of drinks as well as meals, so it's fun to pick whatever suits your taste.
Berry blush smoothie: how did a 2-year-old react?
The second drink was the blueberry blush smoothie.

My kid likes cafés too, and the thing they like best among what they can eat is blueberry yogurt. Seowon Angil Hapjeong happened to have a blueberry blush smoothie, so I ordered it, and my kid said it was yummy and ate a bite of pasta, a sip of smoothie, back and forth.
Honeycomb yogurt ice cream for dessert
To finish the meal, I ordered the honeycomb yogurt ice cream.

You can't skip a sweet dessert after brunch, right? It's yogurt ice cream with honeycomb added, a different combination from ordinary ice cream, so it seemed good as a dessert. We'd come a little farther than usual after daycare pickup, so I wanted to give my kid something new. The fresh taste of yogurt, the honey and the nutty crunch all came together and it was really good.
Rather than stopping at coffee or a drink, this is the kind of lineup I'd recommend when you want to order dessert too and spend some relaxed time.
Is Seowon Angil Hapjeong good for a 2-year-old?
Seowon Angil Hapjeong lets you have meals like pasta, plus drinks and dessert, all in one place, so it was a good option for a day out with a 2-year-old. When you're raising a child, even if you want to go to a pretty café, you first wonder whether it will be okay to bring the baby.

When eating out with my 2-year-old, I too check whether there are menu choices we can pick from and whether we can eat and rest in the same space. In particular, it's convenient that after the meal you can have drinks and dessert in the same place without moving to another café. Getting around with a child is harder than you'd think, so a place where you can spend relaxed time in one spot is welcome.
If you're looking for somewhere to have brunch with a child in Hapjeong, or you're out with a baby and want a tasty pasta for yourself too, it's worth putting on your list.
Final verdict on Seowon Angil, a Hapjeong brunch café
Seowon Angil Hapjeong was appealing because you can enjoy brunch, pasta, drinks and dessert in one place.

It isn't a café for coffee only. With a wide range of meals, it's good for lunch, and it was nice for a relaxed dessert after eating too. Between the creamy egg pasta, basil tomato ade, berry blush smoothie and honeycomb yogurt ice cream I ordered, the variety let us enjoy a full brunch.
Above all, I liked being able to handle everything from the meal to dessert in one place when out with a 2-year-old. If you're looking for a brunch café with a nice atmosphere in Hapjeong, want pasta and drinks together, or are wondering where to eat with a child, take a look at Seowon Angil Hapjeong. It's a place I'll think of next time I want a relaxed brunch near Hapjeong :)
