Now that the heat has eased off, I like walking along the Gyeongui Line Forest Trail, and right by it I found a bakery café called Noknok!

There are so many small, pretty cafés popping up in Yeonnam-dong these days, but Noknok is a rare large-scale café for the area, with a full bakery menu alongside drinks — a great fit if you're after a Yeonnam-dong bakery café specifically.

Where Noknok is and when it opens

Noknok is a two-floor bakery café at 139 Seongmisan-ro, Mapo-gu, Seoul. It's open daily from 08:30 to 11:30.

Walking from Hongik Univ. Station Exit 3 toward Yeonnam-dong along the Gyeongui Line Forest Trail, you'll find it right beside the trail — easy to get to, and the space is big enough to sit and relax.

The variety of seating really stood out — good for groups, good for studying, and good for a coffee stop while walking your dog. (Pets are allowed on the 2nd floor only ⭕️)

How wide is the bread selection at Noknok?

Noknok's bakery lineup is quite extensive, so I stood there for a while trying to decide what to pick. There's everything from loaf bread to baguettes, salt bread, croissants, and cakes — bread lovers will have fun just browsing.

☕ Noknok's vanilla latte

I ordered a vanilla latte to drink that day. I went back and forth on what would pair well with sweet bakery items and landed on the soft, sweet vanilla latte — and it worked out great with the bread. The coffee's slight bitterness plus the mellow sweetness of the vanilla wasn't too much, and the sweetness level was just right even alongside the chocolate bread.

🫐 Blueberry cream cheese loaf

One of the bakery items I picked was the blueberry cream cheese loaf.

Since I was there for a brunch-style breakfast-lunch, I mostly picked loaf breads. Fluffy loaf with blueberry and cream cheese is basically a combination that can't miss. The sweet, slightly tangy blueberry and the soft, savory cream cheese blended really well, and it went great with coffee.

I personally liked that the cream cheese added more depth of flavor rather than just plain sweetness.

🍫 Double choco choco loaf

And if you like chocolate, the double choco choco loaf is hard to walk past.

The name alone promised a chocolate-packed bite, and it delivered a proper, rich chocolate flavor. Soft loaf with intense chocolate — perfect when you're craving something sweet. Both loaves were filled with blueberry cream cheese and chocolate all the way through, which made it clear this is a real bakery that doesn't skimp on ingredients.

The blueberry cream cheese loaf and the double choco choco loaf have completely different flavor vibes, so personally I think getting both to try side by side is a good move.

🥐 Why Noknok works for bread and coffee in Yeonnam-dong

With such a varied bakery selection, Noknok is a place better suited to grabbing tasty bread along with your coffee than just stopping in for a drink alone.
