Yes, at Badaganaesonagwi Bongcheon Branch, any jjim order comes with side dishes plus blanched squid and steamed egg. I only ordered the monkfish stew, and I thought those came only with set menus, but they come along whenever you order a jjim!!

Some other places charge extra for blanched squid T_T I wondered if the owner was just giving away everything!! I'd honestly never seen a place like this~!

Steamed egg to whet your appetite, and a crunchy salad too!

Before the monkfish stew came out, I slurped down the steamed egg first to get my appetite going~ haha It was so fluffy and really soft! Spicy monkfish stew with steamed egg is a perfect match, isn't it!!!

How spicy is the mild monkfish stew?

The mild monkfish stew at Badaganaesonagwi Bongcheon Branch still has a decent kick. I ordered the small bone-in monkfish stew in mild, and if you can't handle spice but still want to feel the zing of monkfish stew, mild is just right. It was honestly exactly my level of spiciness, I loved it lol

My boyfriend can't really handle spicy food, and he said he wouldn't have been able to eat it if I'd ordered the regular spice level haha

Plenty of monkfish roe without ordering extra

What surprised me the moment it arrived was the portion, and I was like, is it even possible to get this many sides at this price...?!! I loved it lol I'm so into this dish that back in school I went for monkfish stew every weekend!! And roe has gotten pricey these days, but I hadn't ordered any extra and the stew still came with lots of it!! T_T I love roe so much!!!

I ate a piece of roe first, and it was super soft, and the spice level was exactly the 'ah, this is it!' kind.

It's not just the roe; the monkfish itself was really fresh and tender and so delicious. The monkfish and bean sprouts go together so well, and even as I write this... I want to go again T_T

It had just come out, with hot steam rising as I blew on it, doesn't it look so appetizing T_T The rice is unlimited too, so piling rice, sauce and monkfish together is pure bliss!!!!!!!

The monkfish meat was packed in, and there was lots of the tender skin I love~~ hehehe

Dipping the monkfish in the sauce is a treat! Mixing it with rice and eating them together is a treat too!
