Gangnam study café with solo seats on floor 8: Selected Nicks

This time I visited a Gangnam Station café — a large café near both Gangnam Station and Yeoksam Station that works like a study café for getting work done while also having a rooftop for a bit of atmosphere — Selected Nicks~~

Selected Nicks also offers space rental, so it can double as a meetup venue~! And with an outlet at every seat, it was great for laptop work or study café sessions! Totally satisfied!!

What kind of café is Selected Nicks?

This Gangnam Station café is actually famous as a tiramisu spot too — from the trendy Dubai chewy tiramisu to all sorts of drinks, there's something for everyone regardless of age or taste, which was another plus haha

Every alley leading into the café had such pretty lighting and tables and atmosphere~~ In spring or fall this would be perfect for chatting outside and enjoying some leisure right in the middle of Gangnam~~

Floor by floor at Selected Nicks: which floor is quietest?

Not the whole building is café space — only certain floors are~! The 1st floor is for ordering, and then there's the 2nd, 3rd, and 8th floors plus the rooftop!

The 8th floor is good for studying, so it's fairly quiet~~ The 2nd and 3rd floors have a lot of people working on laptops as well as people chatting, so it can feel a bit noisier! Just something to keep in mind!!

True to its reputation as a tiramisu spot near Gangnam Station, there were even cute tiramisu plating display models haha

What are the 8th-floor study seats like?

Each elevator had a floor guide, and you could even see info on the artwork displayed on the 2nd and 3rd floors! I came to study, so I went up to the 8th floor — the seats are a bit narrow but it's quiet and perfect for focusing!

On the 1st floor, quite a few people were picking out cakes to take home! There was a wide range of bakery items too, so you could browse and pick whatever suited your taste~

Does Selected Nicks serve brunch and bakery items?

From croissants to bacon cheese salt bread and potato salad salt bread, there were plenty of meal-substitute items, so it seems like it'd work well as a brunch café too!!

There was a nice variety of bulgogi and teriyaki flavors too, but unfortunately the bakery item I actually wanted was sold out that day ㅠ_ㅠ!!

Ordering the matcha latte, iced americano and cookie

I ordered a cookie, matcha latte, and iced americano!! They're served in personal takeout cups at the café, and the matcha's color was so vivid and pretty~!!

The drinks were pretty large in volume too, so I sipped on them for a good while as I studied and needed a sugar boost haha Watching the scenery from the rooftop was also great for relaxing, and it was just the right kind of place for quiet café-studying!

I'd love to come back here next time with my boyfriend as a Gangnam Station café / rooftop café date spot!
