I'd been craving pizza for a while, so I went searching for a famous Wirye pizza restaurant and ended up at Jackson Pizza Wirye Branch. If you're into pizza, you've probably heard of this place — it's pretty popular.

Jackson Pizza Wirye Branch sits right on the main square of Wirye Central Plaza, so it's really easy to get to. The red and silver interior caught my eye the moment I arrived. It's bold and sleek enough to spot from a distance — kind of an American vibe, you know?

It's also a great spot for a stroll around the central plaza before or after your meal, so it makes a perfect Wirye date course too.

Step inside and the clean white tones paired with vivid red pop give the place a hip feel.

They apparently select 7 people who leave feedback and give them a ₩30,000 meal voucher. They even have a customer suggestion box! It made me think this place really cares about service and hygiene.

Looking at the menu board at Jackson Pizza Wirye, there's such a wide variety I wanted to try everything — from Margherita to Pepperoni, Hawaiian, and their signature Super Jackson.

Pizza sizes come in Personal, Regular, and Large. Seemed like a good spot whether you're dining solo or out with family.

Ordering is simple via QR code at the table. There was also a cleaning schedule posted on one wall — they clearly pay a lot of attention to hygiene every day, so I figured the taste would be guaranteed too.

Waiting-time service items

Jackson Pizza also provides service items depending on how long you wait. I guess that means the longer you wait, the more generous the perks?

Taste test: Jackson Couple Set's Super Jackson R and pink sauce spaghetti

We ordered the Jackson Couple Set, which comes with Super Jackson R (+₩9,000), Pink Sauce Spaghetti (rosé), and 2 cans of zero cola. When the pizza finally arrived, I was surprised by how chewy and soft the dough was.

They say the dough is made and aged in-house, and you could definitely tell the difference in texture.

With beef, bacon, pepperoni, red onion and over 7 premium toppings piled generously on top, every bite was packed with flavor. Totally deserving of the title Wirye pizza restaurant!

The pasta that comes with the couple set was also loaded with cheese, giving it a thick, rich flavor.

Disposable gloves and 24-hour aged ranch sauce

One thing I thought was a nice touch — usually when you go out for pizza, you only get cutlery, but here they also had disposable gloves ready for eating with your hands.

It seemed great for kids who have trouble handling utensils — they can just put on gloves and eat comfortably — and also perfect for adults who prefer eating pizza in big bites rather than fussing with a fork and knife.

Usually pizza places use store-bought sauce, but here they make their own 24-hour aged ranch sauce. It's richer in flavor than the store-bought kind — definitely a combo you have to dip your pizza into!

Besides the Super Jackson Pizza, they also have Hawaiian Pizza and Bolognese Spaghetti as signature dishes, so I'm planning to try something different next time I revisit.
