Burger diner with no break time near City Hall: pretzel bun, Daily Fix

I slept in one day in Seoul, and went looking for a good spot in Euljiro with no break time. That's how I ended up at Daily Fix Euljiro, a handmade burger place said to have been visited by a famous mukbang YouTuber and a singer. Daily Fix Euljiro is a Myeongdong-area restaurant serving high-quality burgers with Hanwoo patties made fresh every day. It's a City Hall Station spot where you eat great burgers in a stylish New York-inspired interior.

Daily Fix Euljiro is at 24 Namdaemun-ro 9-gil, Jung-gu, Seoul (1F, Units 103 and 104) and runs with no break time. Hours are 11:00-23:00 Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, 10:00-23:00 on Thursday, and 11:00-22:00 on Saturday and Sunday.

How to get to Daily Fix Euljiro, and what the place feels like

Daily Fix Euljiro is only about 128 m from Euljiro 1-ga Station, Exit 1-1, so it's easy to reach. As a hot lunch spot for Euljiro office workers, it has a hip vibe right from the entrance.

Step inside and the hip feel gets even stronger. The interior brings over a New York diner mood, and the classic music and lighting are fantastic too.

There are plenty of seats further inside, plus group tables. The ceilings are high and the big windows make it feel open, a nice City Hall Station find.

Daily Fix Euljiro menu and how to order

The burgers here are said to be made with know-how built up over many years by chefs from New York's Michelin 3-star and 2-star restaurants. The burger took 2nd place at the Korea Burger Championship, so I was curious how good it would be.

You order on the tablet menu at each table. There are lots of burgers and sides, and soft drinks come with refills.

Tap a menu item on the tablet and you get a description and the origin of the ingredients. Plenty of the burgers were new to me, so reading the descriptions while ordering helps.

After choosing an item, you can add a side or drink to make it a combo. You can swap the bun for a pretzel bun and add bacon or cheese, so you can build it the way you like.

Daily Fix Euljiro also has a Naver Place review event. As the reward you can pick either corn salad or corn slaw.

What we ordered at Daily Fix Euljiro

We ordered the Double Cheese Burger and the Philly cheesesteak sandwich. The Double Cheese Burger was a combo with 18 Fries and a Sprite Zero, and the Philly cheesesteak sandwich was a la carte with a Coke Zero added.

How is the Philly cheesesteak sandwich (₩13,900)?

First, the Philly cheesesteak sandwich, which I ordered out of curiosity because it was such an unfamiliar menu item. It's a thick, classic East Coast-style Philly cheesesteak sandwich, priced at ₩13,900.

The bread was ciabatta, and I liked that the flavor was less intense than I expected. It's a wholesome taste where you notice the steak and cheese more than any seasoning.

A subtle black pepper kept the richness of the Philly cheese and steak in check. Grilled onions were tucked inside as the vegetable.

How is the pretzel-bun Double Cheese Burger (₩15,900)?

Next, Daily Fix's signature and most popular item, the Double Cheese Burger. It's ₩15,900, and I paid ₩900 to swap the bun for a pretzel bun.

The Daily Fix Double Cheese Burger has two kinds of cheese, American and Swiss. It also comes with two thick patties made from 100% Hanwoo.

It's a more generous size than the Whopper from Burger King that we usually eat. Even for a grown man, this hearty Double Cheese Burger is plenty filling.

I was curious about the pretzel bun, and I liked its soft yet chewy texture. It goes well with the Hanwoo patty and cheese, so if you visit Daily Fix Euljiro, it's worth swapping to the pretzel bun.

Both cheeses melt richly from the heat of the thick Hanwoo patty and cling to your mouth. Unlike the Philly cheesesteak sandwich, the inside has raw, ungrilled vegetables.

Are the 18mm-thick 18 Fries (₩7,800) dry?

18 Fries are fries 18mm thick, much thicker than ordinary fries. They cost ₩7,800 and are made from Belgian potatoes, with a fluffy texture.

I worried they'd be dry because they're so thick, but they weren't dry at all, and were actually moist. Crispy outside and moist inside, the portion is generous and they go well with tomato ketchup. The fries themselves were so good that I want to try the chili cheese fries or bacon cheese fries too.

Daily Fix Euljiro verdict: great for a solo lunch or a date

Daily Fix Euljiro is a burger specialist in Euljiro with a Michelin-minded touch, and a Myeongdong and City Hall Station favorite. In a stylish interior with a New York diner mood, you can eat high-quality burgers hearty enough to fill you up, and it's good for dining alone, so office workers stuck on lunch ideas could do well here.
