Sindang gopchang restaurant, one serving of each cut: Jinseong Hanwoo
In short
Jinseong Hanwoo Gopchang Sindang Direct Branch is a Korean BBQ restaurant on Dasan-ro in Jung-gu, Seoul, grilling domestic hanwoo beef intestines. Gopchang and daechang are 19,000 won each and makchang is 20,000 won, ordered one serving at a time and grilled from start to finish by the staff, with three kimchis (scallion, altari radish, mustard leaf) and steamed egg included. The scallion kimchi at Jinseong Hanwoo Gopchang is good enough that the restaurant sells it separately, and arriving around 6pm on a weekday means no wait.

Today I'm bringing you a story about the place I have to visit regularly to keep my blood-gopchang levels topped up — Sindang-dong's own Jinseong Hanwoo Gopchang! 🤤

Jinseong Hanwoo Gopchang Sindang Direct Branch is one of my go-to-again-and-again spots, and it's always mentioned whenever people talk about the best gopchang (grilled beef intestine) restaurants in Seoul. With fresh gopchang and unbeatable kimchi, this place never stops drawing crowds. It's been a while since I properly oiled myself up here, and I'm in such a good mood — let me dive right into the review!👏💛
How long is the weekday 6pm wait at Jinseong Hanwoo Gopchang?
At Jinseong Hanwoo Gopchang Sindang Direct Branch, the waiting really kicks in from about 6:30pm on weekdays. If you want to eat comfortably without waiting, keep in mind that visiting around 6pm or earlier is your best bet!

Anyone planning to go here should definitely check the waiting info. When I visited on a weekday, the line started forming around 6:30pm 😱 By around 7pm, half the waitlist board out front was already filled with names🔥
Three kimchis and free steamed egg with every table
The basic table setting at Jinseong Hanwoo Gopchang is three kinds of kimchi (scallion, altari radish, mustard leaf) plus a fragrant pickled minari garlic sauce. The side dishes get set up the moment you sit down — it's a work of art!😍

You start with these three flavorful kimchis that instantly wake up your appetite,

and on top of that they bring out a savory, soft steamed egg as a complimentary service, so fluffy that I was ready to finish a bottle of soju before the mains even arrived^^...

By the way, did you know this place's scallion kimchi is so legendary that they sell it separately, just the scallion kimchi alone?🔥 That's how much pride they take in their kimchi, and the flavor is absolutely guaranteed!💯
Ordering one serving each of gopchang, daechang and makchang: what it costs
The domestic hanwoo (Korean beef) grill items at Jinseong Hanwoo Gopchang are priced at 19,000 won for gopchang, 19,000 won for daechang, and 20,000 won for makchang (each per serving). These days, when you check the menu at Seoul gopchang restaurants, most start in the high 20,000-won range, so as the pride of Sindang-dong, the prices here are genuinely kind and reasonable!

We wanted to try a bit of everything, so we ordered one serving of each type😋
- Gopchang (1 serving / 19,000 won)
- Daechang (1 serving / 19,000 won)
- Makchang (1 serving / 20,000 won)

The meats we ordered arrived piled generously onto the grill! Another huge plus of this place is that staff grill everything for you from start to finish! Normally when grilling gopchang you're busy dodging spattering oil and guessing when it's done, but here they take care of everything until it's perfectly cooked, so you get to just sit back and eat like royalty. Their hands are seriously expert at plating it too.

Hanwoo gopchang (beef small intestine)
The moment you bite into the nicely browned gopchang, the outside is crispy and the inside is packed with rich, savory fat — it makes you gasp in admiration. Dipping it into the pickled minari garlic sauce cuts through any heaviness completely, so it just keeps going in endlessly!

Hanwoo daechang (beef large intestine)
The pale, plump daechang bursts with savory fattiness💥 The tangy, spicy grilled kimchi perfectly balances out all that richness, so you never get tired of it and keep reaching for more — pure magic.

Hanwoo makchang (beef abomasum)
Makchang stood out for its uniquely chewy yet bouncy texture! The distinct savory flavor that comes out the more you chew made it the perfect drinking snack🍺 The potatoes and tteok (rice cakes) on the grill, soaking up the gopchang oil and browning nicely, were a delicacy in their own right, and I scraped up every last piece🤤
Is Jinseong Hanwoo Gopchang in Sindang worth it?

Honest, fresh domestic ingredients, insanely flavorful scallion kimchi and side dishes, plus the convenience of having everything grilled for you — all three elements were perfect at this Sindang-dong favorite, the number one gopchang spot in the neighborhood, Jinseong Hanwoo Gopchang!👑 If you're looking for a Seoul gopchang restaurant with that rich, savory flavor from the combo of fatty meat and grilled kimchi, don't hesitate — go visit!👍
Another successful delicious meal today🥰
