Where is Wunder Coffee Bar, the Songdo café with great Einspänner?

Wunder Coffee Bar (분더커피바) is a takeout-only café in the food section on the first basement floor of the Hyundai Premium Outlet in Songdo (nicknamed Songhyeona). The address is B1, 123 Songdogukje-daero, Yeonsu-gu, Incheon, South Korea, 617 m from Exit 2 of Tekeunopakeu Station, and it is open daily from 10:30 to 21:00. Takeout, Wi-Fi and pets are listed as allowed.

On the weekend we went to the Songdo Hyundai Outlet with the family to shop and get some fresh air. As the saying goes, even Mount Kumgang is better after a meal, and after all that walking I was craving something cold and sweet. So we headed down to the basement food section and to Wunder Coffee Bar, a takeout café we visit often. It already has a great reputation as an Einspänner (cream-topped coffee) hotspot, so I was really looking forward to it.

When you ride the escalator down to B1 of the Songdo Hyundai Outlet, there are a few coffee shops around the Nintendo store. On the food court side, though, Wunder Coffee Bar seems to be the only one.

The coffee is so good that we keep going back, haha. It's a perfect spot: the kids get cold ice cream, and my husband and I get rich Einspänner!

Is the choco shell cone ice cream good for kids?

I paid ₩1,000 to add a choco shell to the vanilla soft serve at Wunder Coffee Bar, and look how tempting they made it!

This time the kids wanted cones! They tucked the cones into a special plastic holder so they wouldn't tip over, which was such a thoughtful touch and made them easy to carry.

The moment the choco shell touches the cold ice cream, it hardens like real chocolate! That's exactly why you get it.

I was surprised at how long they piled the ice cream! With that much, it took my kid ages to finish.

How does the signature Wunder Coffee (Einspänner) taste?

Wunder Coffee is what I always order whenever I come to Wunder Coffee Bar! It's a signature coffee similar to the Einspänner at other cafés. It's not too sweet, with just the right nutty richness filling your mouth. I really love that balance.

Two ice creams and two Wunder Coffees, a filling-looking combo, and we left the outlet with our hands full. Actually, my husband decided he wanted ice cream that day, so I ended up drinking two Wunder Coffees all by myself, without meaning to! Hahaha!

After a good meal at the Songdo Hyundai Outlet, whenever it feels like something's missing, we end up at Wunder Coffee Bar. My husband and I get the signature Wunder Coffee and the kids each get a sweet ice cream. It's our family's must-do course.

Is there seating at Wunder Coffee Bar? How long is the wait?

Wunder Coffee Bar is takeout only, so every drink comes in a disposable container. But the Songdo Hyundai Outlet has plenty of shared common areas where you can sit freely, so it's easy to grab a spot and enjoy your drink.

As a hotspot, it's busy on weekends, so you may have to wait a bit after ordering!

Still, the taste is worth the wait, so if you're heading to Songhyeona this weekend, do try a signature coffee at Wunder Coffee Bar on B1.

At Wunder Coffee Bar you can enjoy both the rich, nutty signature Wunder Coffee and generous ice cream with a choco shell for a fun texture. The cone holder that makes it easy for kids and the generous portions meant the whole family had a good time. It's takeout only, but the outlet has lots of shared seating for resting after a meal or while shopping, so it works well as a dessert stop. There may be a short wait on weekends, but one sip makes it worth it, and I recommend it as a must-visit café in the Songhyeona basement food hall.
