The taste and style of Hoepanjang, capturing the liveliness and honesty of a fish market

Hoepanjang Sangbong menu and prices: what we ordered
At Hoepanjang Sangbong I ordered the flounder (small) + seafood set for ₩64,000. The best-seller is the assorted sashimi (small) at ₩54,000, but I wanted a fuller spread, so I chose the set with seafood. (Seeing what came out, it was a very good choice!) They brought us cool water, and you order by table order.
From other people's posts, the starters seem to vary a little from visit to visit. I got my chili vinegar sauce and soy sauce ready and waited, and even though it was early evening, the place was busy with customers, yet the food was set out quickly.
What side dishes come with sashimi at Hoepanjang Sangbong?

The basic side dishes were corn cheese and beondegi (silkworm pupae). What a start, so good~

Top class for a Sangbong Station aged sashimi spot! This one plate of kimchi jeon, vegetable jeon, potato jeon (savory Korean pancakes), fried squid and fried sweet potato is also just a basic side.

How does the two-day-aged flounder taste, and how big is the portion?
The sashimi in the ₩64,000 flounder (small) + seafood set is flounder aged for two days.

Live fish sashimi is good too, but aged sashimi has its own charm, right? The portion is "small" but still generous, and the plating as a full spread is just so stylish. I enjoyed it with soju, but Hoepanjang Sangbong has free, unlimited corkage, so you can freely bring wine, sake or whisky.

Is Hoepanjang Sangbong good for dinner with kids?
Wait, even mussel soup too!!!! That's how generous the table is ♡♡♡ I went with my child that day. They made flounder shabu-shabu and abalone shabu-shabu in the hot mussel soup earthen pot, and with white kimchi, seaweed and rice the child's meal was nicely taken care of too.

Banchan, marinated pollock roe, mulhoe and vinegared rice
Garlic, chili peppers, rakkyo (pickled scallions), ssamjang (dipping paste), perilla leaves, white kimchi, sesame oil dip and wasabi to go with the sashimi. Okay, up to here is fine. But then out comes myeongran-jang (seasoned pollock roe), which would be delicious just scooped onto plain rice ♡♡♡

Seaweed and vinegared vegetable salad come too. (Firm, crispy seaweed ♡♡) And that's not all: icy mulhoe (cold raw fish soup) and vinegared rice are included too ♡♡
They say the starters at Hoepanjang Sangbong are unlimited refills, but the dishes that came out were plenty, so two adults ate happily without any refills.

Is the seafood set worth 10,000 won more?
The seafood I ordered came out too: sea squirt, abalone, sea cucumber and conch, and the price difference between the assorted sashimi (small) and the set is ₩10,000.

Skipping the set would be a loss, I think. I'm really glad I ordered it ♡ Conch is rare to find elsewhere, so it's even more precious.

The flounder fin is rich and nutty. I wanted to try every side with it: wrapped in seaweed, with the vinegared vegetables, a bite with the pollock roe sauce, a bite the basic way with soy sauce and wasabi ♡ Icy mulhoe, and fresh sea squirt without a trace of fishiness. The drinks just keep going down.. 🤣
Who should visit Hoepanjang Sangbong?
