We're a couple who can't walk past a handmade burger, haha. This time we visited Daily Fix, a burger place famous on Sharosu-gil. A chef with Michelin 3-star experience, plus praise from Davichi's Kang Min-kyung — what would the burger taste like? We set off with high hopes!

Where is Daily Fix Seoul National University Entrance, and where do you park?

Daily Fix is at 164 Gwanak-ro, Unit 108, 1st floor, Gwanak-gu, Seoul, a 1-minute walk from Seoul National University Station Exit 1. It's open daily 10:30–24:00. For parking, use the building's Wing A/B lot (Wing C isn't allowed), and you get 1 hour free with a meal.

We brought the car and parked right in the building's underground lot. The shop is on the 1st floor, so the walk was short.

The big BURGER sign on an orange background catches your eye from far away. Next to the entrance there are even outdoor bar seats with the window wide open.

Inside Daily Fix: easy for solo diners near Seoul National University Station

The shop isn't huge, but it's just the right size. Yellow sofas, wooden tables and a red neon sign give it a real American burger-joint feel.

There are quite a lot of tables, and a bar counter with yellow stools by the window! We saw plenty of people dining alone, so it's a totally comfortable spot for a solo meal near Seoul National University Station.

Daily Fix menu and prices

You order on a tablet at the table. The first screen introduces the brand as made by chefs from New York's Michelin 3-star and 2-star kitchens, and even mentions placing 2nd in a burger championship by a 0.02-point margin! You can start to guess why it's so talked-about on Sharosu-gil.

Burgers come solo, or become a set when you add fries and a drink. The regular fries set is +₩4,900 and the thick 18 Fries set is +₩5,900. There are lots of topping and dipping sauce options too, so customizing is fun, haha.

After ordering, we could see the hanwoo patties and buns being grilled on the flat-top through the window. They say the patties are prepared by hand every day, so our expectations kept climbing.

How is the Bacon Cheese Burger? The wife's top pick

The Daily Fix Bacon Cheese Burger (₩12,900) is the one Kang Min-kyung praised: cheese, sauce and thick bacon stacked in layers on a hanwoo patty. When we lifted the bun a little, the layers were right there.

In cross-section, the patty thickness is clearly different from fast-food burgers. The moment I took a bite, the bacon and patty flavors blended with no awkwardness, maybe because the bacon is house-smoked and grilled. Add the sharpness of onion and the sauce and it's a real winning combo 😋 One bite and I understood why it's called a Sharosu-gil must-try! So many flavors hit at once that this is, hands down, my pick.

How is the Double Cheese Burger? The meat-loving husband's top pick

The Daily Fix Double Cheese Burger (₩15,900) has two patties topped with American and Swiss cheese. Cut in half, the juices were glistening between the patties 🤤

The taste is clearly a different style from the Bacon Cheese Burger. The flavor of the patty itself comes through strongly, putting the meat up front, so my meat-loving husband cast his vote here, haha.

How were the 18 Fries and onion rings?

The 18 Fries we added with the set are clearly thick. They're golden outside, and when I bit in, the inside was fluffy.

The Daily Fix onion rings (₩7,400) come sprinkled with seasoning. Cut open, there's a whole onion inside, and the sweetness of the onion comes through under the crispy batter. The super-crunchy coating is the highlight!

The sauce served alongside is a hot ketchup with visible whole peppercorns. It's slightly spicy and cuts the greasiness of the fried food just right. We kept reaching for more, haha.
