My husband has looked a bit worn out lately, so I suggested a stamina meal. He loves eel, but the price is always a worry, right? .. Then I heard there's an all-you-can-eat eel place in Siheung, so we went :) Unlimited eel for ₩29,900 a head, and I immediately understood why it's talked about as a Baegot favorite ..!

Where is Songnim Bok Jangeo in Baegot, and where do you park?

The restaurant is in Unit 133 on the first floor of Yuho N City 1, and you can park in the building's basement garage for free. So driving there is easy haha

The place is spacious and clean, which gave a good first impression 😊 Tables are well spaced and the ventilation is good, so we ate without worrying about smelling of smoke afterward. Group seating is available too, so it works for family gatherings or company dinners.

Unlimited freshwater eel: the basic setup

Once you sit down, a neat basic spread arrives: lettuce wraps, dipping sauce, ginger, pickles and other things that go well with eel. The unlimited refill covers not just freshwater eel but pork belly and duck neck too, so there's nice variety ^^

They say they use eel prepared that morning, and the flesh was thick and firm. It really feels like a place confident in its ingredients.

Charcoal-grilled freshwater eel: how to eat it

The eel was best grilled over charcoal, then dipped in salt or wrapped in lettuce with a bit of ginger. When the eel hits the charcoal, it sizzles and a rich, nutty aroma rises right up ..!

One bite is soft and chewy, with the oil spreading in your mouth, and this really is stamina food 👍 Dipped in salt, the eel's own flavor comes through, and with ginger in a wrap it tastes clean with no gamey smell.

Since it's an all-you-can-eat eel place, we kept refilling without feeling awkward, and I lost count of how many plates my husband emptied haha

We refilled pork belly and duck neck too

The buffet also includes pork belly and duck neck, so we alternated them between rounds of eel. I didn't want to eat only eel, so I brought some pork belly and duck neck too.

Switching to pork belly after eel gives a nice change of taste, and the duck neck is mild and tender, so alternating means you never get tired of it :) I think this variety is why it's considered one of the Baegot favorites.

After we finished, they gave us bokbunja wine as a freebie for leaving a receipt review ..! 😊 Eel plus a glass of bokbunja wine is a full stamina course, isn't it haha
