My husband said he wanted eel, so we went back to Songrim Bok in Siheung, the unlimited eel place :) This time we tried the Jeongwang Direct Branch, and at ₩29,900 a person for all the freshwater eel you can eat, I was reminded again why it gets recommended as a Baegot favorite ..!

Where is the Jeongwang Direct Branch, and is parking easy?
The Jeongwang Direct Branch is on the 1st floor at 4 Dasommaeul 2-gil, Siheung, and the space in front of the restaurant is big, so parking was really easy haha. If you're hunting for an eel place in Baegot, it's also easy to get to from the Jeongwang side, so access is great 😊

Atmosphere inside the restaurant
The restaurant is clean and spacious, with tables spaced out comfortably, so I thought it would work well for family gatherings or group get-togethers. Lots of locals were coming in casual clothes, so it seems to have plenty of regulars ^^ It has a reputation as a Baegot recommendation, and the seats fill up fast in the evening.

How does the unlimited eel refill work?
Once you're seated, one plate each of eel, pork belly and chicken neck is set out first, and when you finish, you go to the self-serve corner and take as much as you like. So you can refill without feeling awkward about it :) Wrap vegetables, sauces, ginger and pickles are set out as standard too.
₩29,900 plus a ₩3,000 table setting fee for unlimited eel in Siheung is honestly the ultimate value 👍

How was the freshwater eel?
The eel here is really meaty. When you lay it on the charcoal, it sizzles and a nutty aroma rises .. and one bite gives you thick, chewy flesh with the oil spreading in your mouth.

Dip it lightly in salt and the eel's own flavor really comes alive, and if you put ginger on a wrap and eat it in one bite, it's clean with no gamey smell. I heard they use eel prepped that morning, so the freshness really was different haha
My husband said, "As expected, the eel here is great," and I lost count of how many times he refilled his plate .. we ate until we were stuffed 😊

Pork belly and chicken neck are unlimited too
Besides eel, pork belly and chicken neck are also unlimited, and since eating only eel felt like a waste, we brought those over too. Each cut tastes different, so alternating keeps it from getting boring to the end.
The pork belly, grilled crispy and dipped in salt, is nutty, and the chicken neck is mild and tender, nice to eat in between the eel ^^ For unlimited eel in Siheung, having this variety of meats is a definite plus.

Free bokbunja wine for a receipt review
After we finished eating and left a receipt review, they gave us bokbunja wine (Korean black raspberry wine) as a freebie ..! Eel plus a glass of bokbunja is a full-course health meal, isn't it haha An event like this makes it a place I want to come back to :)

Songrim Bok Jeongwang Direct Branch, in summary
